The most incompetent and 2 faced dental staff I've ever encountered. And have a nerve to get a attitude because THEY didn't get the partial right. This isn't a barbershop so stop worrying about my personal life and fix my teeth.
I’ve been associated with J&J dentistry for about 4 years! The only way for me to get an initial appointment was through an emergency because Dr. Johnson was so busy! I was grateful for that but since becoming a regular patient I have learned that the office is not for me. It’s not uncommon to be moved from room to room, often being forgotten that you’re still waiting service! Regarding the lab and financial booking that’s a total different rating???? Be patient ???? Dr. Johnson is a good dentist. His practice needs an overhaul related to customer service and office efficiencies People are doing the best they can! You may call for DAYS and no one will answer the phone. Or if they answer, they might be too busy to LISTEN to your request. Like I said be patient ????
Through a total policy of non-disclosure, I was lured into having some extensive dental work done at this practice. On December 11th 2023 I arrived at this practice, presented my Medicare Advantage insurance card. Which the office staff acknowledged. I was given an examination without authorization from my insurance carrier, as well as x-rays. I was also given a form for my PCP primary care physician to complete before any invasive dental work would be performed. When I presented the clearance from my medical provider the staff in the office immediately scheduled me to begin these dental procedures. As of this particular review writing I have no knowledge that they received any authorization to begin my dental procedures. All patience must sign a document stating that they will cover the cost of any procedures that they received from this dental practice. The office staff use this document to tell my insurance carrier that I told them that I didn't care whether or not I was covered. This morning I contacted this dental practice and ask them did they have pre-authorization to perform any dental procedures on me that was 3 hours ago and they have not responded. I now find myself responsible for more than $700 of dental procedures. Had this dental practice inform me that they were out of network, I would not have allowed them to do any further dental procedures other than the cursory examination and x-rays which came to $275 I'm told. Apparently, J&J Family Dentistry is not in the business of keeping their patients informed about their Dental coverage. They simply begin working on you without telling you that they have not received authorization from your insurance company to perform dental procedures. The only reason I went into this particular dental practice because a. It was convenient to my home, b. They were listed as being in network with my Medicare Advantage program. The office staff should have been aware that Dr Gary Johnson's practice was not in network for the insurance that I presented. Yet they did not inform me of that at any time in order to keep my business and to have me have the work done there even if it was at my own expense! This practice does not seem to be interested in doing the best for its patients only the best for its practice. And that's not any place you want to go if cost of Medical Services is important to you!
Dr. Johnson is an excellent dentist. He talks to you and explains everything to you. Great service and staff. I highly recommend and appreciate Dr. Johnson. I'm very happy to have found out about J & J Family Dentistry.
In January I went here to have a oral surgery to remove a tooth. It was chipped but it seem like she was struggling to get it out. Digging and digging, afterwards the anesthesia wore off so I asked for more. I just felt differently than the other dentist that I've been too. They seemed to know what they were doing. Anyway, I went to another dentist to further my dental plan today. Coast dental of Mabelton tells me that she left a root in the tooth and he has to refer me to another oral surgery. Are u kidding me, I paid and my insurance paid for this already. J&J dentistry messed me up, instead of moving forward, we are going back to this same tooth. I am upset, if she couldn't do it right she should have called Dr. Johnson in there to help. This is terrible!!

All I can say is the employees are so kind and helpful I have nothing bad to say they made me feel like they really care about you.
Professional, friendly, and highly competent dentists! My husband and I have been patients for over 10 years. My mom just relocated to GA and now she's a patient too! I highly recommend J & J Dentistry for you and your family.
