Inspire Dental of Maine

I broke my front tooth and needed an emergency appt. The office staff was very accommodating and friendly and my visit started great… then I met the dentist. I’m 45 and this was by far the worst dental experience of my life. The dentist berated me twice for asking for a $400 composite instead of a $1400 crown even though I clearly stated (twice) I do understand I am in need of a crown, but this was an emergency I’m unprepared for and today I want a composite, hopefully I can do a crown soon. He continued to express how stupid he thought this was. He also insisted I needed fillings, which had nothing to do with this visit and I didn’t ask. He was very rough through the application of the composite and sprayed water all over - running down my cheeks and back of my neck - without even offering my wipe it off. Rude to the point of being childish. I’ve had this service done 25 years ago the last time I broke the tooth and it was the complete opposite experience. This was a nightmare. He was also extremely condescending to the staff assisting him repeatedly making fun of her. This dentist is very pushy, rude, and unbelievably unprofessional!! If he thinks I’d give him another dime after treating me that was he is delusional. Tip for the future: next time you get a request for an emergency service say, “I’m sorry we can’t accommodate emergency visits because the dentist is going to have a complete meltdown hissy fit and take it out on a patient”.

I've had a lot of bad experiences with dental offices. So I suffered with almost constant pain for years. But I really like the staff and the doctor here. It's a relaxed but professional environment. They have taken the time to help me make decisions about my care with me that include not only my long term oral health, but my immediate financial needs as well. No judgment about the condition of my teeth coming in, just the education, care, and treatment for me to FINALLY, live my life without pain and smile for the camera again! I'm very happy here.

What a wonderful practice! I was able to get a very last-minute appointment to have my teeth cosmetically fixed. Now, inspire dental is my go-to home dentist! The staff members were all very friendly and kind. The dentist is very thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and was very kind with me. I suffer from extreme anxiety, especially at the dentist and he was so understanding. I would 100% recommend.

I had the best cleaning of my life. The place was clean, everyone was friendly. I have been to so many dental offices, I did not know it could be enjoyable! I will recommend this office to everyone I know. I look forward to my dental cleaning in 6 months.

In and out in 30 minutes for a routine cleaning is everything! I appreciate the early morning appointment options which allow me to get to work on time. Their office is new and modern but their care is “old school”, in a good way. No extra nonsense which is what was happening at the previous dentist office I just had. Dr. Lukis is personable and thorough and a refreshing change from other pompous personalities that are out there. I have recommended their office to family and coworkers. Keep up the good work all!!
