Based on recent customer reviews, Hanson Place Dental appears to be a high-volume practice, described by one reviewer as a "factory" that is very busy. Scheduling is primarily done via email, as phone contact for this purpose is not recommended. Despite the busy nature, the doctors and nurses are generally well-regarded, with Dr. Khorram specifically mentioned as a "star" who is super efficient and smooth during procedures like root canals, maintaining a calming energy even while managing multiple patients. He is noted for being fully present and professional during appointments.
However, the front desk staff receives criticism for being rude and lacking in customer service skills, although they are acknowledged as being efficient. One reviewer also reported a significant issue with honesty regarding wait times, stating they were not given an accurate estimate and experienced a long wait in an uncomfortable waiting room. This led to the patient leaving before their appointment. Another reviewer suggests that if you have private insurance or plan to pay out of pocket, there are likely better dental options available. However, for patients with Medicaid or similar insurance, Hanson Place Dental might be one of the few options in Brooklyn.
Services and Features: Hanson Place Dental offers general dental services, including root canals. Key features mentioned in reviews include the efficiency of the doctors and nurses, particularly Dr. Khorram, and the high volume of patients, suggesting they cater to a large clientele. Scheduling is primarily managed through email. The practice appears to be a significant provider for patients with Medicaid or similar insurance in the Brooklyn area.
Patient Experiences: Patient experiences seem to be mixed. While some appreciate the efficient and skilled medical staff, particularly Dr. Khorram, others have had negative experiences with the front desk's customer service and the honesty regarding appointment wait times. The busy nature of the practice is a recurring theme. Patients with private insurance or those paying out of pocket might want to consider other options, while those relying on Medicaid may find Hanson Place Dental a necessary choice due to limited alternatives in the area.
Promotional Information: No specific promotional offers or new patient specials are available in the provided information. However, for individuals with Medicaid or similar insurance in Brooklyn who may have limited dental care options, Hanson Place Dental represents a practice with seemingly efficient doctors and nurses. We recommend contacting Hanson Place Dental directly via email (given the recommendation against phone scheduling) to inquire about their comprehensive list of dental services, appointment availability, the insurance plans they accept (specifically Medicaid and similar), and any current information regarding wait times or patient flow. It may be beneficial to inquire about their scheduling protocols and what to expect during a visit.
Disclaimer: This introduction is based on the information available in the provided reviews and aims to give an objective overview of the patient experiences at Hanson Place Dental. Individual experiences may vary, and we encourage you to contact the dental practice directly for more information about their services and to determine if they meet your specific dental care needs, especially considering the mixed feedback regarding customer service and wait times. Hanson Place Dental Reviews
Been going to this dentist for years and the ONLY reason they get 2 stars and me coming back is because the NURSES are very good and helpful. The doctors not so much. 3 very bad experiences and 1 good one. Do yourself justice and research wherever else your dental insurance is accepted...AND GO THERE!P.S. If you do choose to go there, charge your phone and be prepared to WAIT!. Dosent matter how early you come, you will be there over an hour.
Nov 19, 2024 · I AgbajeMy experiences with Hanson Place Dental have been consistently disappointing, both for myself and my husband. Over the years, I've faced excessive wait times, sometimes up to two hours, which forced me to walk out and reschedule appointments multiple times. The staff has often been nasty, treating me as if I am inconveniencing them despite the long hours I spent waiting in the office. In the past, I have contacted them via email and did not receive timely responses, having to send multiple emails before getting any reply. Recently, I attempted to book an appointment after several years of not visiting. When I called, I made it clear that I am pregnant and wanted to avoid the excessive wait times I had experienced previously. The receptionist, Janaye, was incredibly unprofessional. She actually answered the phone while talking to someone else, put me on hold without greeting me properly, and when she finally returned, she was rude and unhelpful. Janaye also failed to inform me that I might not be seen without clearance from an OBGYN due to my pregnancy, something I mentioned multiple times. She also didn't explain that, given my long absence, I would need a checkup before any cleaning or procedures. When I asked for her last name, she bluntly refused, which is unacceptable. When I asked if I could step out briefly to get something to eat or drink and be called when it was my turn, she responded that they would not call me back. Such behavior is indicative of a lack of training and professionalism. Janaye should not be in a customer-facing role and needs significant retraining or replacement.I then spoke to a supervisor named Melinda, who provided a much clearer explanation and was professional. However, my overall experience with the staff in general has been overwhelmingly negative. They seem unorganized, uneducated, and uninterested in providing proper care or customer service. What makes this even more distressing is that most of the staff and patients are people of color, including Black/Hispanic individuals. As a person of color myself, it's truly sad and disgraceful that our community members are treated so poorly. This place needs serious improvement and should be ashamed of how they treat their patients. It's clear why they have such poor ratings on most internet sites. The quality of service is abysmal, and it seems like the staff is just going through the motions without genuine care or professionalism. I strongly advise against using their services.
Jul 09, 2024 · K ElIf I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Be prepared to wait 5 hours+ for service. When I was finally seen by the dentist she gave me the worse cleaning I've ever had. I can tell she was not being thorough because she kept pushing me to come back every three months for another cleaning (I guess this is their way of making you come back to spend more money). STAY FAR AWAY from this place. The cleanliness of the facility is poor, the equipment is out dated and the staff is overwhelmed and not pleasant. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
