I have seen Dr . Rekos for some dental implant issues and a really problematic tooth extraction. He did some great work on me. He’s personable and the staff is friendly.

Had to have an emergency tooth extraction, never been to this office before, and it was right before they closed on a Friday before Easter. Dr Rekos was awesome. He explained everything that was going to happen beforehand and offered me choices as to which way I wanted to go...simply removal of tooth, options for creating a permanent replacement, bridge etc. Comforting during the procedure, continued to explain each step. Thoroughly numbed the area, zero pain. Nurse Sandy was great also. The one negative, the woman in charge of collecting the money, cold and fake, and quite pushy. I informed everyone there upon arrival that I had insurance and money, and yet she was very pushy about getting payment before I was even done with my questions about the procedure.

On July 24, 2020, I signed a Patient Treatment Plan for an Endosteal Implant. Dr Rekos demands payment up front for his services and on that same date I paid the amount requested. My insurance plan reimbursed a higher amount than expected which left a credit balance of $583.70 on my account. This money belongs to me and is due me now that my treatment was completed on September 21, 2020. I have made numerous phone calls to the office and have been told to leave voice mails with Rebecca. She never returned my phone calls. Finally, on January 5, 2021, I called the office and spoke directly with Rebecca. She informed me that I am indeed owed a credit balance of $583.70, but Dr Rekos is not authorizing refunds at this time and there is no timetable as to when, or if, credit balances will be refunded. I am filing a written complaint with Delta Dental who told me they will investigate Dr Rekos for nonpayment of patient credit balances.

I am giving this office a 1 star rating because of their poor customer service! My nephew got his wisdom teeth done here, so my sister recommended the office to me. It’s about 45 minutes from my house, so I chose the office only because I was referred, plus I was told they have payment plans. So, I called and spoke to someone about all of this prior to scheduling. Because they’re so far, and because my daughter is in pain from her wisdom teeth, I requested to have the consultation and treatment in the same day. They said they would accommodate me, which was great. I did all the paperwork and emailed it to them, along with my daughters most recent x-rays and the insurance information. Four days prior to the appointment, I called the office to ask about their fees because I wanted to calculate an estimate so that I could be better prepared the day of. I didn’t want to get there and not have enough $$ and my daughter be refused treatment. The financial manager there refused to tell me what their fees are, which I find rather fishy because EVERY OTHER dental office & oral surgeon’s office I called freely told me their fees. Dr. Rekos office was trying to get over on me, but little did they know, I used to work at a dental office as a Patient Treatment Coordinator, so I know the game. At this point, the ONLY reason I was sticking with their office is because my sister referred me. I told the financial manager that perhaps they should consider changing their policies on giving patients an estimate. In my opinion, it’s not really fair to expect and demand payment up front, but give your patients zero clue as to how much it may be. Well, I just got a call today from the financial manager again stating that Dr. Rekos himself refuses to see my daughter and they’re cancelling my daughter’s appointment on Monday. This is a 15-year old girl in a lot of pain. Obviously I want quality care, but I also want to be responsible and budget and plan accordingly. If I were rich, it wouldn’t be a problem, but I’m a hard-working average person doing my best to prepare and budget ahead of time. Most dr/dental offices would appreciate that. But not Dr. Rekos or his office. My sister is highly displeased as well and regrets referring me, as they’ve shown their true colors. By the way, my sister is still paying on her bill – though they told me that they do not offer any payment plans and that everything is due up front; told me they wouldn’t talk to me about another patient’s situation, but they were just telling me the office policy. Why be a respecter of persons? If you make an exception for one, you should for others. This is poor practice, extremely rude, and inconsiderate. I am glad that he is a good dr because, at the end of the day, it’s good to have a great doctor. Bravo. But your character sucks, as far as I’m concerned. You don’t truly care about the care of your patients. You’re money hungry! That’s it!

Dr. Rekos did an amazing job on my surgery. Him and the staff made me feel comfortable and respected. I had an effortless recovery and recommended him to my friends and family.
