Great Expressions Dental Centers - New Brunswick

DO NOT COME HERE. Please bear with me as I have a lot to say. I am a new patient at this office. Came in for a general cleaning. My insurance fully covers cleanings however when I went to check out, I had a bill for 69.00. I then told them my insurance covers cleanings which they confirmed, however there were two additional components to the cleaning that were “optional” that they did not tell me about until I went to check out. Dr. Sanjay saw me all of 30 seconds and did not tell me if anything was wrong. She spoke with her hygienist, looked at my teeth for all of 30 seconds and walked out. I then get out of my seat to call her back to which she then tells me I need two fillings, a crown, and a night guard, and then walks out again. Dr. Sanjay is extremely unprofessional. I am a physician myself and this is not how medical professionals should treat their patients. This place, to put it simply, is a SCAM. I’ve had a root canal and a filling on one of my teeth for 15+ years and this is the first time I’ve ever been told I need a crown on the tooth. DO NOT COME HERE. There are plenty other amazing, talented dentists in this area. I will never be back.

Terrible dental office. They are trying to scam patients, and they are not honest. The dentist tried to push invisaline for no reason. Then the hygienist claimed she couldn't give me a cleaning because I "needed a deep cleaning", which would cost ne $500 out of pocket. After getting a second opinion this was not true. The hygienist pocket measurements claimed my pocket depth was 4-6mm but another dentist measured them as 1-3. Beware they are trying to scam people.

This place is horrible. They cancelled my son's appointment 3 times in a row because their hygienist didn't show up to work. They have no consideration for peoples time, lost wages and health. All they have is a bunch of excuses.

BEWARE- This dentist tried to push me into an Invisalign treatment worth thousands of dollars. She told me I NEEDED this treatment even though no dentist has ever said anything about my teeth being crooked in any way. Their office is covered in Invisalign merchandise and posters and they obviously are getting some sort of kickback for pushing patients into getting this unnecessary and expensive treatment. They should have their medical license taken away for trying to take advantage of patients in this way.

I been going to the New Brunswick office for years and this has to be my worst experience visiting any dentist. The dentist came in rushing, started off by telling me she has seen me since January of 2023, when I been going every 6 months, was last there in February 2024, had a cleaning, and during that visit my whole mouth was x rayed. The dental assistant stated that the doctor would look at those X rays, if there was anything wrong she would call. The dentist never called, so I assumed that everything was good. Forward to today 4/26/24 the receptionist said the doctor never reviewed those X rays. But she walked in quickly, checked my mouth and said I needed not1 but 2 root canals when in fact she did the one that is hurting . I asked for pain meds and told her I couldn’t take ibuprofen, then she said oh! There is Anything I can give you but let me call in a script for Amoxicillin without thoroughly checking my records to see why i couldn’t take ibuprofen, find out if I could even take the Amoxicillin, come to Flfind out the Amoxicillin is a small contra indication for me as well. I am disgusted, distraught, disappointed. I only left one star because the receptionist was nice.

Terrible place! Please avoid it at all cost, completely unacceptable how they treat patients. I had an appointment at 4pm, dentist called to ask me to come earlier because there was a cancellation, I explained I had work but would try my best to come as soon as possible, show up a little past 3pm, door is locked, I knock and someone tells me office is closed, I explained I had an appointment, she says she would check and be right back and never opens the door again, waited for almost 1 hour outside before I gave up and left. Office is disgusting, building is falling apart.

Dr. Sanjay and Arianna were amazing during my procedure. Definitely made going to the dentist less of a hassle. Thank you
