Gentle Dentistry - Coon Rapids Office

This was my first visit to Gentle Dentistry and they live up to their name. The entire experience from scheduling through my appointment was pleasant. Every staff member was professional, friendly, and thorough. While I was in the waiting room a gentleman came in and there was a mixup with an appointment for his wife with special health needs. He was a little distressed but the front desk staff was so kind and patient and helped accommodate them. They provided an appointment for her so they wouldn’t have to come back another day. Edited - 11/2024 The front desk staff is amazing but the dental care has changed. The last two times I went in for a checkup I was told I needed many fillings. In April it was 5 fillings, a root canal and a crown. They said that my X-rays did not show that I needed a root canal but they thought I should have one. My face was so bruised by the crown process I looked like I had been beaten up. And this past visit in October, I was told I needed 3 fillings on teeth, one of which they had filled in April. I do not feel cared for here.

They are always in a rush to get you out the door in less than 45 min for an exam and a cleaning. Very poor performance. Dentist missed 3 cavities on my daughter than we found a week later by a different dentist. They don't even floss thoroughly during the cleaning. They just stick the floss between your teeth and then pull it straight back out and then rush to the rest.

My kids and i love it here. The staff is super friendly, I always get all three of my kids in at the same time (suuuper helpful for a single mom!), and I really like the female dentist. She's really good with kids and she's very friendly and gentle.

They incorrectly set a crown 2x and fractured it. They won't replace it and refuse to see me because I ask they replace it at no charge.. Went to a new dentist and he took care of it. This place is terrible with the worst front desk staff.

I called to make an appointment for my daughter due to an abscess next to a molar. I made sure to let them know her age and exactly what she needed done, They confirmed they have a capability of doing so. Turns out They couldn’t do anything but a referral that was not directed to any doctor, office, nor specialist just a generic referral. When I asked for any direction as to where to call, they just answered with “you Just gotta call around”. No help at all, but are quick to collect$$
