I had such horrible experiences trying to get an ortho consultation at western dental, I chose to be reassigned to gentle dental. I was unsure about that process (dealing with Insurance etc) so that was the first thing we handled when I got in. The front desk staff helped me with getting reassigned over the phone. After about 30 minutes, I was told this was an exam appointment not an ortho consultation. I let them know I didn’t need an exam, because I’ve already had X-rays done as well as whatever other work that was needed in order to get an ortho recommendation. That happened earlier this year, and they said X-rays were needed for their records. The person that took my X-rays was nice, then sat me in the chair and told me the DR would be right with me. I waited a few minutes and an already disgruntled Dentist walked in. I wish I knew his name but he never gave it. He just said, what are you even here for? I said I was told by front desk I needed an exam. He asked when my last dental appointment was I said a few months ago, earlier this year. He got mad and said ‘2 months ago? Insurance isn’t going to cover that.’ I said not 2 months a few months, earlier this year. He kept mumbling under his breath. Tells me I have no cavities, but he’s going to take a look anyway. He looks at my teeth for less than 3 minutes then tells me I need a deep cleaning that requires lasers and special medication. Tells me to wait for front desk to check my insurance. They explain the procedure to me and says the cost is 1500. They tell me I can’t get braces until I get that done. They made it seem like if I didn’t get this done my teeth would eventually fall out. I know my gum health isn’t bad, and just got that cleared with my primary dentist I go to regularly today. She said there is no reason why I need that procedure. A normal deep clean is fine. I wish I would’ve read reviews before all of this. I went to their office today to get X-rays transferred and get a clearance form. I haven’t gotten the email of my X-rays yet. I haven’t seen any bad ortho reviews on here, but it seems like if I choose to stay I may have a hard time scheduling.

Total scam. Came in for a cleaning and they said all is covered. They take literally 18 X-rays. I go to the dentist every 6 months and have never seen this. Then DR tells me I need a deep cleaning and it’s not covered by insurance. I insist I’ve never had this happen ever since I go the dentist every 3-6 months. What a bait and switch scam. Now I see they there are so many negative reviews. Dr refuses to do a general cleaning covered by my insurance. Save yourself some time and don’t fall for their bait and switch scam. Check out their F rating on BBB and their 2 star yelp review. This place should be shut down.

Unfortunately this was the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. Would have rated lower but at least they didn’t cause me any harm so it could have been worse?? Basically there was just a complete lack of customer service. I had to wait for quite a while. The xray tech was fine but the dentist introduced himself from behind me so I never even saw his face he just started putting his hands in my mouth ? the dental exam itself lasted I’m not exaggerating 42 seconds. And then after the visit his assistant scolded me for asking if I was good to leave. Also on the phone I asked for an exam + dental cleaning and upon check in I was told I could possibly do a cleaning and then after the appointment I was told there was no hygienist on site today and I needed to come back. I work in a similar very busy healthcare setting and even given how busy and low resource this clinic may be I think my expectation for average customer service or at least some level of basic friendliness is reasonable. Again nothing particularly bad happened but it just felt weird and I absolutely do not recommend this dentist to anybody if you have other options.

I had a wonderful experience here. from the front desk ladies, to the dental assistants, to my doctor. They were helpful and knowledgable, and I had this genuine feeling the entire time that throughout my process of getting a bridge, that they genuinely cared about me getting my smile back. 10/10 one of the best businesses in the city.

Honestly, I was surprised to see some negative reviews online. As someone who's extremely picky and terrified of dentists, finding a good one has taken forever ! I'm incredibly picky and finding a dentist has taken over a decade. But let me tell you, Dr. G at Gentle Dental Group is fantastic !!! Dr. G is amazing! After I explained my dental anxiety, she reassured me "We'll turn that around!" True to her word, she did! Dr. G is incredibly patient every singe time, kind, and supportive. She's not judgmental at all, which made a huge difference for me. The staff is just as wonderful. Suzie, Anna, Juan (the dental assistant), and Anna at the front desk are all incredibly kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else! If you have dental anxiety, G Gentle Dental Group is the perfect place. J.S

Received excellent care from the entire staff and Dr. Randhawa. He replaced a filling on my front tooth and it looks great. He and the staff were very patient with me, even when I was anxious. Highly recommend.

Waste of my time and I will not return. Scheduled a first time appointment for a cleaning, after taking x-rays I waited 10-15 minutes to be informed that I would need to reschedule my cleaning because their hygienist called out. Apparently they only have on-call hygienists...
