First time visiting, and I’m impressed! I got my appointment within two days of calling, which was a pleasant surprise. The desk staff were patient and very helpful. Dr. Sami Zelkha and his assistant were not only professional but also super funny and friendly—had a blast chatting with them! I came in with a broken permanent retainer, and they fixed it quickly. I’ve already booked another appointment for a dental cleaning within two weeks!
It’s a hit and miss. If you’re unlucky and end up with the wrong dentist you’re in a big big headache. The other big issue is the management. They’re so inexperienced, they make things only worse. Issues I had with my dentist for crown delivery: 1. The dentist asking the assistant to work on my tooth (instead of himself) which caused injury. 2. The dentist using insulting jokes and offensive language when I voiced my discontent. 3. I took the issue to the management. Asked for another dentist. 3 months later I’m still waiting to get my crown. Overall, avoid at all cost! Save yourself of 3 months of confusion and disrespect.
I have the BEST hygienist!! Have been going to Gentle Dental of Brookline for over 30 years. Love them. Sorry to hear that Dr. Li has left.But with one exception, all the chief dentists there have been terrific.
All staff was wonderful. I was able to make an appointment immediately. Dr. Zelkha was wonderful with my doctoral care, and Le was wonderful with my hygene. Assistants Fransnel and Dorgam were also caring and exceptional. Definitely would recommend.
generally really good treatment; thorough and with good communication. but the hygienist was unpleasant in a way that's hard to explain. I have found her abrasive in the past (pun intended?), but can't quite explain it. That's needlessly nerve wracking.
Poor first time experience. They had a dental hygienist who was not trained taking my Xrays. I could very clearly tell he was not putting them in the right place since he’d tell me to bite and I couldn’t then it would start falling out. They had to redo each scan 3 times and bring in someone else. They need to have proper training in place - not use new patients to train on. The dentist was fine although she did use a tool that sprayed water as she cleaned and so my face was all wet after.
