Highly professional staff! Well mannered and friendly receptionist / clerks. Modern and very well organized facility. I love Dr Tony’s way of putting his patients at ease with his gentle manner and his sincere smile! He puts his great skills to work and does top of the line dental work. I’ll always go to Forward Dental for all my dental care.

I had some sudden tooth sensitivity and called to see if I could get an appointment. Forward was able to accommodate me same day and determined the issue was a worn out filling. Dr Tony did an amazing job with the repair and was able to do it then and there. I feel so much better. Thank you!

My experiences here are always top notch! Scheduling is flexible, and appointment reminders are well in advance of my next appointment, reception is always kind, my hygienist is always super quick and friendly, and my dentist is always professional and genuine in following up with my concerns. Overall, there’s just a really good team here!

Years ago, I had gone to the Forward Dental on University Ave. The dentists and hygienists were good, but the billing and claims were a nightmare. So many times I got bills from them due to claims submission issues. I remember going back and forth on the phone with my insurance and the dentist office to figure out what information was still needed from the provider and hand holding the whole process. For this reason I switched dentists and went to Dental Health Associates for about 8 or 9 blissful years. Never once did I have to facilitate the claims submission process and everything the insurance was supposed to cover was covered. What a miracle. Unfortunately, hygienists are in serious demand and it became difficult to reschedule if I missed an appointment. I was told I would need to wait another 6 months, so essentially it would be a whole year until my next cleaning. In desperation, I called Forward Dental to see if they could get me in. I figured it was a different location and so many years had passed that I wouldn't have any issues with billing. I was sorely mistaken. First of all, the receptionist has an ability to make condescending remarks with a sweet smirk on her face. When I went in for a cleaning today, I also brought with me a bill that I had called about previously and was told by Ben that for some reason it was automatically rejected and he would resubmit it and not to worry about paying the bill for now. After all, we are talking about a cleaning, which my high option insurance surely pays.Since then, I received another bill, so I brought it in with me to ask about the status. I believe the receptionist name was Jessica or something like that. Anyway, she told me that they submitted the claim but insurance hasn't paid so I would need to call before I get sent to collections. When I asked if they could call my insurance to inquire why they haven't paid out, she said no we don't do that. It's your insurance company, so it's your responsibility. She then stuck it to me with a smile and said "Filing the claims is a courtesy we provide" , basically after we file our hands are clean and we won't even reflect that it could be something that we didn't provide. Also, this is not a courtesy, it is a basic service that ALL dental offices and doctors offices provide. There is no special service being offered here by Forward Dental. Sorry, Charlie. Ok, fine Jessica or whatever your name is, I'll call. I get home and immediately called my insurance company. My insurance company told me that the provider still hasn't sent them the explanation of benefits from my primary health insurance and that is why they are not getting paid. They proceeded to tell me that this is the common practice and they should know this. Alright fine, I guess I need to call them back and tell them how to do their job. I call back at about 4:05 and the dentist office closes at 4:30. I get Jessica or whatever the heck her name is. I explain to her what my insurance company said and that they need to see that denial from my primary. I also told her they said this is the normal process that all the providers follow. She acted as if this is the first time this has ever been requested by an insurance company. I asked her if she ever submitted claims to GEHA before and she said she had. Well, ok then you should know! She then said well I guess I can print it out and send it to them. I don't have a problem doing that, but I'll do it tomorrow because my shift just ended. Ok fine, but apparently not fine. She had to insinuate that I had some inferior insurance by adding. Well, I'll do it and maybe that will get them to pay out. WTF woman?!!! It was a cleaning! I have had this insurance for 11 years and my previous provider had no problems submitting claims for much more extensive procedures than that. Unbelievable! What a headache! Now I will have to follow up tomorrow. Maybe I will have to submit the EOB on my own and do her job for her. When I am finished doing her job, the next "review" I will be writing is with the BBB.

Abby did well with cleaning my teeth. I don't get a reminder or confirmation for the upcoming appointments so I ask that you please send a text message the day before each appointment. 6 months takes me into the next calendar year so I can't write it down when its made. Thank you

I went to 3 different dentists on the west side of Madison (due to changes of insurance and some unhappy experiences) before I visited Dr. Tony at Forward Dental. He’s knowledgeable, professional, always happy and kind—not just to his patients but his staff as well! He takes time to explain procedures necessary for good health to his patients and gives them choices. The dental hygienists are gentle, caring and listen to a patient’s dental concerns. I have had great success with Invisalign there as well as regular 6-month checkups. I highly recommend Forward Dental!
