Floral Vale Periodontics and Implants: Edward A. Marcus, D.D.S.

My family, across generations, has been going to Dr. Marcus's practice. I am writing this review today because I am still in awe of how they ensured I could come in the same day I called to address the issue I was having with my jaw. Dr. Marcus took time out of his busy schedule to make sure I was okay. It's rare to find such accommodating care in doctor's offices these days. I will be forever thankful that my family and I have such an amazing Periodontist. The staff is INCREDIBLE.

Dr Marcus is the Most qualified periodontist that exists. Our family and our friends have gone to him for decades.Besides being extremely competent he is very pleasant Gene E

The office staff is not upfront with charges as well as not looking into coverage before procedures are completed. I was treated with disrespect and interrupted when I questioned them. Dr. Marcus is a sarcastic and arrogant doctor who called me “ his problem child, Calamity Jane and told me if the bleeding didn’t stop from my biopsy we could tie a noose around my neck. He may think he is funny , but since I have a very rare autoimmune disorder, which with ALL his experience has only been seen once in his 44 years of practice, was not a kind or empathetic way to treat a patient. Even his assistant mumbled In under her breath in fear “ Here he comes, here he comes...” in fear of him. I have been dealing with cancer for 3 years and NEVER been treated so inappropriately in my life.

Dr. Marcus and staff are amazing. They made me comfortable throughout my whole procedure and even checked on me via text that night. Dr. Marcus obviously cares about his craft and his patients and it shows in the results.

Due to a shadow seen in an x-ray from a semi-annual cleaning check up with my dentist, it was determined external resorption was found in tooth #29. To avoid further deterioration and wanting to be proactive, extraction and implant was recommended for my future health. That is when I met DR. MARCUS who was EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL (ALONG WITH HIS ENTIRE STAFF) and making my decision comfortable. The day came to extract the tooth. I sat in the chair and was prepped with Novocain. Dr. Marcus examined the root under the tooth and said 'I don't think we will have to remove your tooth.' I thought he was joking!! I was fortunate enough that my root was an anatomic cemental anomaly and there was no sign of external resorption. DR. MARCUS was TRUTHFUL and DID NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE of the fact I was in the chair and prepared for extraction. Although I did not have to have my tooth extracted, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. MARCUS FOR YOUR PERIODONTIST NEEDS!! THANK YOU DR. MARCUS!!
