Family Dentistry by Kavanagh H Lee DDS

Dr. Kavanagh is hands down the best dentist I've ever had! Unlike many other practices, he did the cleaning himself rather than having a hygienist handle it, which was a new experience for me. Throughout my visit, he took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and I learned so much about my dental health, dentistry in general, and astronauts! We even had some great conversations, which made the whole experience that much more enjoyable! One of the fun surprises was the variety of toothpaste and fluoride flavors, who knew you could choose from options like mint chocolate or strawberry cheesecake instead of the usual mint? Not even my pediatric dentist had those. I previously had a terrible experience with Aspen Dental, also here in College Station, where they refused to clean my teeth due to what they called "severe gum disease." They claimed I needed four cavity fillings, aligners, and a mouth guard for sleeping, all of which would have cost me nearly $3,000 out of pocket. They diagnosed everything so quickly, it felt rushed and impersonal. In contrast, Dr. Kavanagh spent so much more time with me, and after a thorough examination, he only found one tooth with a slight cavity that didn’t even require a filling. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Family Dentistry by Kavanagh H Lee, DDS, and I'll definitely be returning until I graduate. Depending on where life takes me after graduation, I might even consider coming back to College Station just for his care!

By far the best Dental practice I've ever used. Dr. Kavanagh is thorough, caring and great at his work. He also doesn't do work that isn't necessary. His wife is also amazing. Can't recommend this place high enough!!

Truly the BEST dentist in town in my humble opinion! If you prefer cozy, small town vibes, and don't want to feel like you are walking into a dentist office... this is the ONE! Dr. Kavanagh and his wife are absolutely amazing and are so sweet and kind. Dr. Kavanagh is fun to chat with during your dental visit and will make you feel comfortable. It is thanks to Dr. Kavanagh and his wife that I now actually enjoy (yes, I said it - enjooooy) going to the dentist. So thankful I found them here in Bryan/College Station!

Visited a couple of times for cleaning and cavities. The atmosphere was so calm and inviting. The price was very reasonable as a cash pay patient. Will definitely be returning as needed

I decided to try Dr. Kavanaugh because I read other good reviews online. I am so glad I did! He and his staff are gentle, but thorough, and put me totally at ease. As a person with a lot of fear about dentists, I was very concerned the first time I visited their office. But now, I not only have no fear, but look forward to going to see them! Excellent!
