I took my son to his 6 month checkup at the office in Bear and everybody was so kind and welcoming. Lulu at the front desk welcomed us in, and I didn’t have to wait long to get called to the back. They hygienist Mirtha was so nice to my son, and also keeping me well informed. I love coming to this office!

I love the atmosphere and warm welcoming. Even though I didn't want to hear anything too bad about my teeth. They made me feel positive about getting everything done.

As a new patient, dental anxiety sets in very quickly. They took their time with me, each and every individual, explained everything detail by detail and I have decided to allow Family Dental Center to become my dentist office of choice. I certainly appreciate their thorough examination and care.

Horrible experience at the Bear office. I gave them multiple chances and thought maybe from the first appointment it was just an off day, then it was the same at the second, third, and fourth appointment as well. Fifth appointment i just walked out. Every time I went there, i had to wait almost an hour or OVER an hour before being seen. My first appointment, my wait, was 55 minutes. Second appointment which was supposed to just be a quick probing was also over 50 minutes, that appointment made me late to work as I was told it would just be a quick stop in which it wasn't. The third appointment was for fillings, I waited about 45 minutes for them to get started. The dentist came in and numbed me, then left for another 30 minutes before starting work. The fourth appointment was just for a full mouth debridement, and AGAIN, my wait was over an hour (for a procedure that took maybe 15 minutes total). I just went today and was supposed to have another checkup for the dentist to examine my whole mouth (not even sure what this is about as he already did examine my mouth and create a treatment plan, they said it was something my insurance required? No idea.) The appointment was set for 10 AM. I was in absolutely no rush to get there as I already knew I'd be waiting. Still, I was set to arrive by 10:01 or 10:02. They called me at 9:59 to make sure I was coming (although I'd already confirmed the appointment through their text confirmation system), and i say yes, I'm 2 minutes away. So I thought, oh, cool, they must be ready to take me back since they're calling me before my appointment. I get there and wait. And wait. At 10:20, i go up to the receptionist and confirm that im checked in, to which she says yes, they'll call me back shortly. And again, I wait. It's now 10:35, and I still haven't been called back, so I walk out. My time is precious and not to be played with. Like I said, I thought maybe the past times something was going on or something took longer than they expected and gave multiple chances, but clearly they are just disorganized and do not know how to schedule appointments properly. I will not be going back to this office other than to pick up my treatment plan or insursnce information if they refuse to email it to me. Additionally, after they gave their proposed treatment plan of 7 root canals and 11 crowns (yes my teeth are in bad shape, I did not have a good past and upbringing, that's why I'm trying to get them fixed) i went to a dental school to see how much treatment would be there instead. They evaluated my mouth and did testing that family dental centers DID NOT DO to confirm what teeth needed endo work.. I only need 4 root canals and 4 crowns for those teeth. All the rest can be restored with fillings. They confirmed that I do have feeling in those teeth, and the pulp is not dead to the point I would need a root canal. Considering a school with students still in the process of learning does more extensive testing than them and can give me a more accurate treatment plan, i would not recommend going here at all. Even disregarding the ridiculous wait times, they don't do the proper testing and tell you you need more work than what you actually do. It's shady and wrong.

This was my initial visit. It went really well. I liked the office vibe. Staff was attentive and walked me through the entire process. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly. I am looking forward to my next visit. Follow up to my initial visit. My 2nd visit did not go so well. Total opposite of my 1st visit. The dentist was unprofessional. His name was Dr. Ben. I was numbed up for my procedure at 2:30pm and then forgotten until I found a tech walking outside my room at 3:10pm. The technician was more upset then the dentist when he finally came in at 3:13pm. No apology or explanation. I excused myself and just left. The staff was apologetic but Dr. Ben could of cared less. I believe the hygienist was not there and the dentist was going to do her job. He should of just rescheduled instead of being unprofessional. I now have to start over with a new dentist. BEWARE!!!

Is 6 cavities the magic number? In my 1st appointment with them, I was also told I had 6 cavities and to make 2 appointments for fillings. Thought it was odd since I've only had one cavity since middle school. Went for a second opinion somewhere else, was told I had beautiful teeth and just 2 stains to monitor. Glad I went with my gut!
