Absolutely garbage experience. I arrived at 10 a.m. for my 10 a.m. appointment. I check in. I sit and I wait. Forty-five minutes pass. I need to be at work, so now I'm annoyed. I complain about the wait, and the front desk folks offer no apology. They actually blame me for the delay, saying it's taken this long because I had just then given them my insurance that morning. This is not true. I could see clearly from where I was sitting that nobody even picked up the piece of paper on which my insurance information was written until 10:40 a.m. However, I had called the day before to give Eaglin this information and left a message, but nobody called me back. After I complained about the wait, I was hurried into a dental chair, where I got about 20-25 minutes of attention with a "descaling" service and some advice about drinking coffee through a straw to avoid staining. No offer of an x-ray or what I have come to expect from thorough, biannual checkups in other states (I've gotten regular dental care in VT and NH for as long as I've had insurance). I had the impression that Eaglin was in a hurry and just wanted me out. My trust level was now down to zero---why would I expect a dentist office that basically just yelled at me for complaining about an unreasonably long wait that I had pain in my gums? Because I did. The best I could do was ask for an x-ray and hope that whatever caused the pain was easily identifiable. Eaglin did a quick round-the-whole-head type of x-ray, looked at it for a few seconds (not exaggerating here--it was maybe five seconds at most), and flashed a thumbs up at me. A thumbs up! Needless to say, the pain increased. I went to another dentist two days later. They took my insurance card and didn't wait at all for verification or demand payment first, reimbursement by insurance later as Eaglin did. They asked thoughtful questions, took a proper x-ray, determined I needed a root canal, explained why, and made a referral. Got a root canal a few weeks later at a good endodontist. Pain free now. I give places a lot of leeway before writing bad reviews, but I just can't let this one go. Why? Two reasons. (1) Because of the unreasonable wait. I think because this was my third time at this office, and the first two times they were also late in getting me into the chair. (The first time I actually showed up and nobody was at the office--they were late in opening the doors.) (2) Because my pain lingered longer than it had to. Just do yourself a favor and seek care elsewhere. _____ EDIT TO REPLY TO OWNER'S REPLY: I definitely never refused to pay, nor did I refuse to give my insurance info before the visit. Eaglin called to request it. I didn't have it, but my wife did. Once I had it, I called Eaglin, but they didn't answer or return my message. When I expressed my disappointment about the wait, I said I can pay, just get me in the chair. Also, it's HIPAA, not HIPPA.
My first time going to Eaglin dental I have to admit the entire staff was great. Aundrea Johnson was greay help . I got a crown procedure done and she explained to me the ins and outs of the procedure . I would definitely recommend this dental facility if you are looking for a new dental family.
Run for your life! I’m so mad that I had trust in this man to do work on my teeth. He was supposed to fix a surface filling on my front tooth and ended up leaving me with a scratched up, hideous front tooth. His office staff is literally the only good from this place. Dr. Eaglin is not respectable of your time as he had me wait over an hour but rushed through the visit to the point I went back to sit in the chair 2 other times for him to “fix it.” Complete panic attack at the damage done so I could not let him “fix it” anymore. This business is not sanitary, let alone using “sterile” equipment. I had to turn my face from him so that he changed his gloves. The office manager apologized and was kind, but the only solution is letting him “fix it” for the 3rd time and I cannot let him ruin my smile anymore than he has already. Do better Dr. Eaglin. While I understand how a negative review can hurt a business financially, so should a response from the Dr. himself with nothing but lies. There are plenty of similar posts to mine, so I have no doubt that people who are searching for a dentist will not only see mine but others as well. Dr. Eaglin is the one who did such terrible work, was not sanitary or had no bedside manner. The associates here are the best thing this practice has going, but they are not the ones who did not do their jobs; the doctor himself was. In no way, shape, or form would I EVER contact you directly to make things right as you had 2 times to correct it while I was in the office and you only made matters worse. I also informed my insurance that you did not complete the work you stated so they will pay for the work to be done correctly by an actual professional.
Wow. What a terrible experience. I went to Dr. Eaglin about 1.5 years ago when I noticed a cavity on my tooth. In doing so, an abscess was found and it was decided that a root canal and crown were needed. 6k later and the issue was supposedly addressed, but more on that later. While being treated. Dr Eaglin was rude, didn’t allow time for questions, always spoke with a condescending attitude and seemingly only cared about money. Like the man looked me in the eye, said I had a potentially fatal tooth infection that needed to be worked on that day…. But oh yeah I had to pay him 3.5k right there and then before he’d work on it. Like if this isn’t the problem with US healthcare then I do t know what is. So anyway, in the time that has gone by 2 of my dental crowns have fallen off and he blamed it on me not coming in for a cleaning. Like one fell off in 6 months and he made it my fault. I’ve had crowns stay on for 10 years without issue. When the second crown fell off I went to a new dentist who informed me the tooth abscess was still there and still very much dangerous. I was told by her and a subsequent endodontist and oral surgeon that the work Dr. Eaglin did was subpar and the reason for the crown falling off was in no way my fault. He didn’t shape it correctly. Moreover, he failed to treat my abscess tooth which could have resulted in paralysis in my face or even death if the infection had spread. If Dr. eaglin had done the job I paid him ridiculous sums of money for a year and a half ago I might still have a tooth today and not have had to be paying an additional 10k on a tooth removal and implant. I could go on and on about this guy. Staff is incompetent. I ask for old X-rays and they never send them to me. They bill incorrectly. My favorite part though is that they are claiming I still owe them money after Dr. They looked me in the eye and told me what I’d have to pay is only what I was paying him before he’d operate. Not only that, my insurance company has told me I should have no outstanding responsibility and that any bill I’m getting is a clerical issue on Dr. Eaglin’s billing side. Overall. Wow. Just wow. I’m livid. And have half a mind to file a malpractice suit. Staggering levels of greed, incompetence, and unprofessionalism combined to create a really bad situation for me. Needless to say, avoid this dentist if you can. There are way better ones like the team that took care of undoing Dr. Eaglin’s shoddy work. I’m grateful that I went to them instead of back to Dr. Eaglin
Excellent service from reception to the assistants and the doctor. Clean and professional environment. You have to communicate and be clear about what you want and they will take care of you. Highly recommended!!
