Drs. Chapman & Puderbaugh DDS, PLLC

I needed to find another dentist, so I took the advice of a co-worker and selected this one. My health insurance changed when we were acquired by WVU medicine. My previous dentist did not take their insurance. I was very impressed by my dental hygienist, Dr Chapman, and everyone else for that matter. They were very personal and professional. We discovered that I needed some major dental work and I was dreading it so much. So, after my visit yesterday I have to say that I was very impressed with everyone there. They sure know what they're doing and I made it through the ordeal very smoothly. They are all definitely on their A game. I will definitely stay with them as long as my insurance doesn't change. Hopefully that won't happen.

I will begin by saying this was the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist office. The staff was very prompt and professional but the dentist himself was rude and inconsiderate. A brief synopsis of the appointment is I was worked in as an emergent visit because my crown came off. While speaking with the dentist he refused to let me talk and rambled on about the integrity of my underlying tooth the crown was fitted on and he only gave me one option to have the tooth pulled and an implant put in. When I then tried asking more questions he cut me off and said that was the only option he was giving and then asked me very curtly “if I’d like him to stop talking” I said yes and he then exited room and I was left with the hygienist to try and decide the next steps. Needless to say I received a second opinion and to my amazement was given not just one but two options neither of which were extracting the tooth. I have never left a review of a business before but felt it my obligation to do so because of the way I was treated by someone that is a professional and is in the business of caring for people.

I love this dentist! I have had bad experiences with past dentists throughout my life but with this dentist, they are kind and patient with me. The staff is wonderful and kind! They are quick and efficient!

I visited this dentist for the first time today for a routine cleaning and exam. The office staff were so helpful in moving up my appointment after they had a cancellation and it was nice to get in 2 weeks earlier. The dental hygienist was so wonderful and thorough. She was kind and courteous throughout my visit. I could tell she really cared about my care and educating me on dental health. When Dr. Chapman came to examine me, I was not impressed. He seemed to be very curt and not invested in my care. He seemed much more interested in speaking with me about possible sleep apnea and his other business, WV Sleep Solutions, than my dental health. Despite the rest of the staff being wonderful, my interaction with Dr. Chapman did sour my experience.

I was searching for a new dentist because my previous dentist retired. Drs Chapman and Puderbaugh came highly recommended. My experience started with Tracy to make an appointment. She was very friendly and welcoming to a new patient. Due to an opening I was called and got in the same week. The office is beautiful and I was greeted with smiling face as soon as I walked in. The entire staff was impressive. Ashley was wonderful. Dr Chapman took much care and time explaining things thoroughly. I never felt rushed nor have I ever been more informed on my procedures, treatments and options. I have found my new dental home. I love these guys.
