Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. I found this dentist office on Zocdoc and this was my worst experience at the dentist in all my life. Maybe they used to be great in the years past but, check dates on reviews. I went for a simple cleaning. The dentist himself was very rough and aggressive in my mouth. I did not feel comfortable at all. It was a fast, rough, in and out experience. Then at check out, the front desk charges me $200 for X-rays that they never discussed with me prior to my appointment. The front office staff Rachel is unprofessional and does not have a clue what customer service is. After the visit I called to follow up on the charges because they told me that once the claim was submitted they could confirm if the insurance would cover the X-rays. They never followed up with me. When I called, same attitude, she said “this is how we do things here.” After treatment we discuss insurance. I explain to her other dentist office always discuss your insurance and what portions are covered before treatment. This was a simple cleaning, not even a deep cleaning. They are reaching to bill people for stuff they don’t need. I called Delta insurance and they said this X-ray is not normally taken for a cleaning and done every 5 years. They are billing for X-rays that you don’t even need. Again the entire experience was horrible. Go somewhere else.

Great dentists and staff. I only visited one time to have my teeth cleaned and every one was super nice. I also scheduled an appointment for 6 months later and completely forgot all about it when I moved to Florida. I received a call on the day of my appointment (in which they did call a week before but I forgot to check the vm) and was told I would have to pay a $50 cancellation fee. But these people are awesome and are very understanding and waived the fee due to my situation. If any of my friends ask where to go, I will definitely refer them Buckhead Family Dentistry. Hands down best customer service I've experienced in awhile. Thanks for being awesome!! ?

Excellent service. Both dentists were excellent. Dr. Itarut is kind, thorough considerate. Dr. Harvey is gentle, kind and compassionate and I think he must be exceptionally good because he did not leave me suffering. Cass made me feel as though my best friend was beside me. I have had my best ever dentist for 30 years. I lost him when I came to Atlanta. He has also grown old with me and is retiring. It is difficult to change dentists. It is difficult to trust. I have never had an extraction and I have an emotional attachment to my teeth. I chose your office because I like the name Thaddeus and admire Thaddeus Stevens from long ago. It is an unlikely way to choose a dentist office, but in this case it worked out perfect. I felt cared for. The only negative thing is the parking, which isn't anything anyone can do anything about. It is expensive! I am not used to paying parking while at the dentist. But as far as the office, the people who waited on me and worked on me, I find superior. Thank You! Beverly Nero

This complaint is regarding Buckhead Family Dentistry located on 3379 Peachtree Rd NE #850, Atlanta, GA 30326. I was contacted by Tara from the practice on Monday 8/19/13 saying that there were two bills past due from Dec ’12 and Jan ‘13. I was told the total amount was almost $350; this seemed high considering I had already settled the charges for the procedures at check-out. After I indicated that the amount seemed too high I was told that my insurance had paid for silver fillings instead of the tooth colored ones that I had been pre-authorized for. This was communicated to me multiple times throughout the conversation. I was driving back from a road trip and requested to review the paperwork and settle the matter in person by the following week. I was then threatened that the outstanding bill would go to collections by Friday 8/23/13. Apparently the office had sent bills to my new home address multiple times, none of which I have ever received. I have never had a problem with receiving any other bills and/or mail at the address. Issue #1: Why did the dental office staff wait to call me on my cell phone on Monday to talk about bills which was due to go into collections on Friday of that week? Why was there no phone call before this if the bills were outstanding since January? Further, if they had waited this long, why could they not extend the payment date for another week? With no option, I paid the bills as I work full time and had no way of getting down to Buckhead to settle this in person during the w/o 8/19. Issue #2: I was also being charged $75 for a visit to deal with the excruciating pain after my fillings were done because the doctor did not finish the procedure properly the first time (improper cleaning, irrigation post filling). I have had fillings done before and have never had that kind of pain in the area for two weeks after the procedure, whereby I could not even chew soft foods on that side. This amount should have never been charged. After paying my bills, I called my insurance company to find out why they had not paid for white fillings. The representative at the insurance company said that they had paid for tooth colored fillings not white fillings and the rest of the payment was not sent to the practice since they had never responded to the insurance company’s request for additional paperwork regarding three of the procedures. I called the practice back and this time Tara said that she had told me that the insurance company had paid for the tooth colored fillings and that the majority of the outstanding bill was for a mouth guard I had had made (new fact emerges). This was one of the procedures that the insurance company had asked for additional paperwork about. When I told her about the need for additional paperwork and gave her the fax number for the insurance company and asked her to take care of this on Monday, she informed me that this does not “happen overnight” since the doctor had to write the narratives. So Buckhead Family Dentistry is happy to charge customers upfront for charges incurred because Buckhead Family Dentistry staff didn’t provide the insurance company with appropriate paperwork, but don’t have any sense of urgency when it comes to doing their own jobs right. This is a practice that does not care for its customers: - I was charged after being given completely inaccurate information. - The staff demonstrated gross negligence in doing their part in completing routine paperwork and then threatening me with collections to get payment.

I have been going to Dr. Paige for 12 years. I highly recommend him and the hygienist (Tarik) for any and all of your dentistry needs and wants. I just had some major dental work done, again another wonderful experience. I promise you will not be disappointed.
