Dr. Michael Cotter

I brought my 11 year old daughter to Dr. Cotter after seeing numerous dentists for a root canal on an adult tooth. He made her feel so comfortable and she had such an incredible experience. He came up with such an innovative treatment plan. I was amazed by the technology and knowledge Dr. Cotter displayed. He educated me through each step, even allowing me to look in the microscope! He made my daughter and I feel so at ease and used his knowledge to make a problem seem like not a problem! He is amazing at what he does! Very thankful to have found such an incredible dentist in our area! Thank you!

I went to Dr Cotter’s office in Westchester. It was the worst experience of my life. An Asian endodontist that works for Dr Cotter drilled my tooth for 2 Hours with no success. She finally said she couldn’t save the tooth and pulled the tooth. This was a few years and I had to get an implant by an oral surgeon. Now that implant is loose. This has cost me a fortune and I believe it all stems from his incompetent procedure.

Over the past ten years Dr. Cotter has been my dentist. I first visited him with a problem that needed to be addressed with skill and careful attention. He performed this procedure successfully. Other dentists refused to perform this procedure because of the area of the month that contained several sensitive nerves. His extensive knowledge of his area of dentistry allowed him to perform this delicate procedure successfully. Following this experience, I have had several root canals performed by Dr. Cotter. Each time, he addressed the issue with care and concern. His manner was reassuring. His office contacted me each time within 24 hours to ensure that I was comfortable and to address any discomfort that I may have been experiencing. I would highly recommend Dr. Cotter to a friend as well as a member of my family.

Both my wife and I have both been patients of Doctor Cotter. Not only is he a great endodontist but also an extremely caring person. Earlier this year I was in for my final appointment for my second root canal in an 18 month time frame. My wife had passed away 3 weeks prior to my appointment. After getting the novocain I became quite anxious which had never happened to me before. Dr Cotter told me not to worry and that I could come back another time. I felt very bad since I had a 90 minute appointment and it was too late for the office to fill the time slot. He totally understood what I was going though and was very compassionate with my situation and did not push me at all to tough it out and finish. After sitting up for a few minutes to relax and drink some water, I was able to complete the appointment. I would highly recommend Dr Cotter to anyone who is in need of a root canal.

Let’s face it, no one wants a root canal. But if you need one, it’s best to go to an endodontist that knows what he’s doing. I was referred to Dr. Cotter by two different people, and I was not disappointed. His office was immaculate (and nicely decorated), the staff was really nice and most importantly, I was quickly relieved of the excruciating pain I walked in with. An infection had come on suddenly and his staff was able to squeeze me in, as they could tell it was pretty urgent. I’m grateful for the excellent treatment and highly recommend Dr Cotter to anyone in need of an endodontist.
