WATCH OUT!!! I have been at this dental office since 1974 that was previously owned by two very reputable dentists, Dr. Friedman and Dr. Mulholland. THE NEW OWNER, DR. ERIC BUCK, now called Third Street Dental, is submitting claims to MetLife insurance for periodontal services, and I was informed by office staff, Sidney, there are no periodontists in that office. Both former dentists billed for traditional cleaning but Dr. Buck is billing as periodontal maintenance. I told them I already have a periodontist, Dr. Rotenberg, who I see in between my traditional maintenance. If they bill as periodontists then my insurance will not pay for my appointments with my actual periodontist, Dr. Rotenberg. ALSO PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR ACCOUNT. They also were adamant I need to pay extra for the cleaning, and then later I learned from Amy on a voicemail message I had a $98 credit on my account (that I was never informed or received) because I overpaid when I had a gold cap replaced to a porcelain cap by a Dr. Sheridan, a new dentist under DR. BUCK. She filed my tooth to a pulp exposing nerves. I am still experiencing nerve pain, and the cap did not cover entire tooth, exposing part of old tooth. I asked about filing in the area with composite but she wanted to see how I would feel. But when I went back, she had left the practice. DR. BUCK apparently owns several dental offices and hires various dentists. HOWEVER I CHECKED AND NONE ARE PERIODONTISTS. I am contacting MetLife’s fraud department to look into my situation. and will report to BBB.
