Dentologie - Streeterville

I had such a great experience here! I wanted to get a general teeth cleaning before the year ended, but they said I actually needed a deep cleaning. Since I’m pregnant, they worked with me and still did a general cleaning, which I really appreciated as not all dentists or clinics are willing to do so. Dr. Patel was super gentle and made sure there was no bleeding, knowing how sensitive my gums are right now. Her assistant was really nice and the front desk staff was so welcoming. They even offered water, snacks, and gave me a goodie bag. I didn’t get that kind of welcoming at the other clinic I went to. Not every place goes out of their way like this, so I’m really thankful for their care.

The clinic obviously does not hold the normal integrity that a normal clinic has. The clinic treat patients like i-diot and is so careless that they just hope you do not find their mistakes and they will do their best to deceive you. I did my Invisialign treatment and ordered retainers after the treatment was done in Mar 2023. In Nov, I would like to order 4 new retainers using the scan did in March so that I have the perfect version. The clinic agreed to do so but when the new ones arrived, I can clearly feel it did not fit and very likely it was made using the super old scan when I previously did my bracket treatment long time ago. I asked the whole four pairs to be remade and I placed order for another four using the correct scan. They finally found the correct scan (yes previously they did not even find it but just went ahead and placed the order). They agreed to do so. In the end, I got 8 pairs. 4 are correct, 4 are EXACTLY the ones I returned in Nov (the package date was still Nov, and there was one bag that I opened and put in the case). So they did not remake the previous batch but sending the exact same ones back to me and hope I did not find it out. I am so frustrated with this clinic.

Unfortunately, this office deserves 1 star. The office is beautiful and modern which got me excited. The dental assistant was super kind and easy to talk to. I haven’t gone to the dentist in a while so I desperately needed to be seen. Going into the appointment I was expecting a cleaning and get established there. However, during the appointment the internet was glitchy which took up time of the appointment (unavoidable I know). But my appointment was an hour and half and they did my X-rays and measured my gums… no cleaning. They told I needed a specific cleaning that would take too much time that they didn’t have and they would reach out to me via email with what exactly needed to be done and book the next appointment( which would be the cleaning). I couldn’t book my next appointment in office due to their system being down. I never received any information on what to book or when. I transferred my X-rays to another office where I found out Dentologie charged me for a cleaning, that did NOT happen. Communication and patient support isn’t a priority, it’s apparently money.

What a mess. I booked an appointment with this office. I was asked to fill out paperwork 2 times before I came in as they did not have the record. They day before, I get a call asking me to reschedule, no problem. I had a conflict with the time and could only stay for 60 of the requested 90 minutes. I was told this would not be a problem. I get a call the day of stating that I would need to move my appointment again as they would need the full 90. They offered no solutions, just that I should rearrange my work schedule. Canceled and will not go back.

Avoid this dental practice if you want reliable dental care. Every call gets routed to a third-party call center, and your requests are never fulfilled. I spent over three weeks and made more than 10 phone calls trying to get my X-rays sent to another doctor's office. Each time, the call center took down my information, but nothing was ever done. I needed to urgently contact the doctor due to an infection that caused my jaw to swell up. I called multiple times, and each time, the call center picked up, took down my details, and then... silence. I had to find a new dental place where people in the office actually answer the phone and help you. Even simple tasks like setting up a follow-up appointment with your desired doctor are impossible. With no ability to connect to actual people in the office, nothing gets done on time. I've been with Dentologie for over eight years, and it's all going downhill because you can't speak to the people at the office directly. It's not the third-party call center's fault; the people in the actual office don't even process the requests that the call center is routing to them.
