I’ve taken a long time to reflect on this experience, but I now feel the need to share my daughter’s story in hopes it can help others. My 6-year-old daughter had to get two teeth extracted. As parents, we all know we have a responsibility for our children’s health, but when a child lives in two separate households, you can only control what happens in yours. When I first moved to the city, I found this dental office, and it seemed clean and welcoming, so I felt hopeful. I brought my daughter here because she had a toothache. When we saw the dentist, I was immediately made to feel like a bad parent due to comments about my daughter's dental hygiene. They told me she had two cavities that needed filling. During the procedure, when the dentist began injecting my daughter’s mouth with anesthetic, she started crying. I could tell the dentist and assistant were annoyed—they wouldn’t allow me to console her, which was heartbreaking. She was only 6 years old at the time, scared and in pain. I even tried calling her father to help calm her down, but the dentist screamed at me, accusing me of trying to record the situation when all I was doing was talking to her dad. The environment felt hostile. Things got worse when they couldn’t complete the fillings because my daughter was too distressed. They decided instead to extract both teeth after they had already begun drilling. My daughter was crying, and I felt completely lost. They told me I had to make a quick decision: either let them finish or come back later. It was a terrible situation, especially since they had already started drilling. I couldn’t believe how little empathy or bedside manner the staff showed. After I reluctantly agreed to the extractions—because at that point, there really was no other option—my daughter was screaming and crying, and the dentist proceeded to extract both teeth. The entire process felt cold and detached, and after it was over, my daughter was pretty much sent on her way without any comfort or follow-up care. What made matters worse is that a spacer was never mentioned, ordered, or provided. A friend who works in an orthodontist office later asked me why a spacer wasn’t given to my daughter, which led me to follow up with the office. Unfortunately, I was given the runaround and had to seek help from another dentist. The lack of care and responsibility was incredibly frustrating. I do not appreciate how we were treated at this office, and I will never forget it. To this day, my daughter talks about this traumatic experience, especially since her teeth are a constant topic due to the braces she now has to wear. There was absolutely no bedside manner, sympathy, or compassion for my child. Considering how distressed she was, the fact that no follow-up call was made to check on her well-being felt appalling—like we were just another case in a factory designed to extract children’s teeth as quickly as possible. This experience has left a lasting impact on both of us, and I wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone.

The staff was incredibly nice, they worked with me on cost because my insurance wasn’t covering everything my son needed for a root canal. The staff talked my son through the whole thing and was so patient. From the Doctor, to the staff at the front desk, they all went over and beyond just to insure that everything was going to be just fine.

Today was my son’s first dentist visit. I was nervous because no one likes going to the dentist. We were seen by Dr. Gianna Lugo, and she was absolutely amazing! she was friendly and gentle! She was very professional and made us feel comfortable. She answered all my questions and gave me tips and tricks on how to keep my baby’s dental hygiene up to par. The ladies at the front desk were kind, welcoming and helpful. We didn’t experience a long wait time! I also loved how colorful the rooms were. 10 out of 10 I would absolutely recommend this place!

So far I’ve been here twice with my kids and again, the service was phenomenal. Milly and the front desk were very kind and welcoming. The staff made my kids feel safe and secure. Dentist offices can be a scary place for younger kids but not this one. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with younger children.
