Customer Reviews
While we typically have positive experiences here, today was a disappointment. I had appointments for my kids at 10:00 and 10:30, confirmed by a call earlier. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed us, along with other frustrated parents, that the suction machine needed for teeth cleanings was broken and that no appointments could be seen until it was fixed - with no estimated repair time. She curtly gave us two options: wait indefinitely or reschedule. As a parent who took time off work, a courtesy call about the issue would have been appreciated. Even if we waited, seating was unavailable, and earlier appointments would be prioritized, likely causing a 2-3 hour delay. I understand that technical issues occur, but the lack of communication and empathy left many parents, myself included, extremely dissatisfied.
It’s always a 5 ⭐️ experience at Dentistry for Children! Dr. Brad and his awesome team have always made my kids feel extra special all while providing the best dental care! 16 years old and still members of the Cavity Free Club! Thank you for being the BEST!!
This was our first time ever going to this dentist. I was overall very happy with our visit but I am debating if I will go back. Positive: The waiting area is very kid friendly with a movie area, arcade games, fish tank and play area. All of the staff was super nice and attentive. Big plus for me! They even had a quiet room for my autistic child to choose to receive care in. The hygienist was very sweet and knowledgeable and she educated me thoroughly. Negative: No one washed their hands. I mean NO ONE. From the sweet lady doing his xrays right on up to the doctor who did the final assessment. They all just grab gloves without cleaning their hands first and go to work. The hygienist was sweet but same goes for her. She's writing notes and going through drawers for supplies then goes straight for the gloves. The doctor walked in the room putting on gloves but I never saw him clean his hands first, big no no for me! If you grab the gloves with dirty hands you are not protecting your patient. Then on his way out he grabbed a pair and stuck it in his pocket. He probably did the same thing before he came to our room. Didn't even sanitize his hands before leaving the room. I didn't say anything but I wish I had. Our appointment was 1 week ago and yesterday I had to take my my child to urgent care for sore throat, hoarseness, headache and cough and the doctor believes it's strep throat. We're currently waiting for cultures to come back. Obviously I can't say for sure it came from this dentist but I can say it would be a likely place, especially since hand hygiene is so poor here. If hand washing isn't second nature then I bet cleaning surfaces isn't a habit either. Overall I loved this place for kids and that's why I gave 3 stars. I just think the staff including the doctors need a refresher on hand hygiene and sanitizing surfaces. Or they need to slow down and remember how important it is to keeping their patients safe.
The office was very honest about treatment. Matt our son feel comfortable from the time we went in till we left. I highly recommend them for your children
And the environment was very welcoming, clean and child friendly. The staff was very helpful and informative. My children enjoyed the prizes at the end of the cleaning. We will definitely be using the services again.
