Update and response to the owner's comment:- 6/14/24 To date, which is more than 90 days later and after no less than 10 Aetna reps reaching out to them, Dentfirst continue to evade the issue. They asked for EOB and EOP again and saying that they will contact me about the refund yet nobody does. The estimate of dental care coverage clearly states that no copay was to be collected from me, yet they insisted on collecting $130.75. They've been told by my insurance that they cannot balance bill nor ask for additional payment and to refund the difference which is $71. The CMS and their contracts don't allow it. I have to contest their bill with my credit card company for the difference. So BEWARE. Dentfirst is so crooked that for $71, they're willing to lose patients. They already lost my wife and now, I am in the process of finding a new dental provider. To the owner; my insurance never agreed with you that they made a mistake in processing my bill as evidenced by the latest response to my grievance which you now have a copy. You may refer to the attached photos. You defenitely cannot be trusted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- On April 2, 2024, Dentfirst of McDonough demanded that I pay for the services rendered that day in the amount of $130.75 despite me asking them to bill my dental insurance first as it will tell them how much I owe, otherwise they will have to refund me the difference. My insurance, Aetna paid them on 4/16/24 and my share was only $59.75 which means they overcharged me $71.00. When Desiree of Aetna called them on 4/25/24 to ask the status of my refund, Jaena of Dentfirst told her that it could take up to 30 days after payment to get my refund. More than a month later, I called Dentfirst on 5/21/24 and Delia or Dana, not sure, of Dentfirst told me that there was no memo about a refund. When I asked for her name for my record, she suddenly became agitated and rude and accused me of screaming at her. Huh! I had Aetna rep named Monique called them the next day and she was asked for a copy of the EOB for verification and she was told that a person named Ashley was gonna call me for update. Nobody has called me and so I asked Aetna rep named Kemari to follow-up on my refund last 5/28/24. Kemari told me that he had a hard time contacting them and he was handed to several people before finally being asked again to provide a copy of the EOP (Evidence of payment) for verification. When I told him that Monique already provided them with EOB, Kemari tried to call them back several times so we can make a 3 way call but they refused to take his call. At one point when they found out who was calling, they hanged up on him. When I took mywife in for her periodontal cleanings on 2/21/24, they demanded payment of $138 before getting checked in. We showed them a copy of my Evidence of Coverage detailing how my insurance covers everything 100%, they still insisted on charging us an amount that they said my insurance would not pay, even though my insurance representative was already on the phone with them explaining how my insurance covers everything 100%. We had no choice but to cancel and now my wife has a new dentist. I like my dentist and my hygenist, but the office staffs are a different story. I guess I'm gonna have to cancel the rest of my appointments and find another dental provider. Well Dentfirst, where is my refund? I don't know what's in your head. One way or another, you will have to refund me that overcharge.
I take care of my elderly mother who received care at Dentfirst in McDonough. Laura went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me resolve an insurance issue that involved my mother's insurance company making a serious error. Laura called the insurance company on our behalf, followed up with me several times, and helped resolve a very expensive issue that was out of my hands. I appreciate her help so much. I believe she is a true reflection of an office that cares about the individuals they treat.
Great dentist for the whole family! Everyone is so friendly and the doctors are very thorough. Carolina did my cleaning and my teeth have never felt so clean when leaving at other practices! Highly recommend.
If i can give this place ZERO STARS I WOULD , i had a temporary crown that was placed in my mouth years ago NO PAIN whatsoever , they decided to fix the tooth next to temporary crown then replace both teeth with crowns. Idk if they missed a nerve in my tooth or what but it’s been 2 years now and i still have unbearable pain in the tooth they gave me a root canal on . Messed up my insurance plan so now i owe them , They never have appointments i can go on . Zero stars . Save your insurance plan for a company that cares !
Dr. Cheryl McMahon-Lee extracted 2 teeth for me today and I have never had such an easy experience for an extraction. She is truly a professional!!
