We absolutely love Dr. Rice and his team! Not only does he provide excellent care for me, but he’s also fantastic with my kids. He has a wonderful way of making them feel comfortable and even excited about their visits! The entire team is welcoming and professional, and they really go out of their way to ensure a positive experience for the whole family. I highly recommend Dr. Rice if you're looking for a dentist who truly cares about both kids and adults alike. I love his approach to dental care!

through the years in Chicagoland, and moving multiple times, I've had multiple dentists. I landed in Elgin and FINALLY found a great dentist. there is a definite reason some are a 'great dentist' and others aren't. Dr Rice for one is very good at whst he does, all the work I've had done has stuck and held. permanently. unlike before when things would fall apart, crack, or fail. staff is super down to earth and friendly. and it's a comfortable environment with beautiful windows and outdoor bird feeder views to make it even more comfortable. highly recommend.

I had a filling fall out months ago and had two different dental practices tell me that I needed a root canal. I am terrified of the dentist and have had many bad experiences with getting cavities filled. I sought out a dentist who would be able to put me under anesthesia or something close to it and that had experience with patients who had dental anxiety. I came across Dr. Rice’s practice and he exceeded my expectations. First off, every member of his team is so kind. His office is very clean and there was a beautiful garden with a bird feeder to look at outside the window. Dr. Rice assessed my dental needs and offered to fill the cavity instead of doing a root canal and also do it without anesthesia. I was apprehensive since I’ve had issues with not getting completely numb before. His technique was flawless and he was so knowledgeable that it put me at ease. I didn’t feel any pain AT ALL from the injection or the procedure. I was amazed and more relaxed than I have ever been in a dental office. Dr. Rice is kind, considerate, knowledgeable and provides expert care. I just wish that I had found his practice sooner! He saved me so much money by not having to pay for anesthesia. I am so very thankful.

I'm a firm believer that if a service is outstanding you be grateful and appreciate the work by those professionals. So I want to Commend the David Rice dental for their professionalism! Their attention to detail and commitment to lessen any discomfort during my procedures have been wonderful! If your nervous about having work done make an appointment! Melissa Lee the staff Hygienist handle my procedures with care, kindness and respect. 4.5 stars!

I have a HUGE anxiety about going to the dentist, mostly due to my own general anxiety disorder but also I have a sensitive gag reflex and I do not tolerate all that stuff in my mouth very well. I chose Dr. Rice because he offered sedation, even though I have never even tried laughing gas before. I needed a dentist that understood my needs. I have now been to his office 4 times in the past few weeks for filling correction/replacement and a tooth I was grinding on. The office staff was very friendly! I love that they have the option to text with you and they are very responsive. All of his dental assistants were also very friendly and understanding. You can tell they care about their patients. One of them even shared with me that she too has the same sensitive gag reflex and could relate to me. Dr. Rice was awesome! Long story short - I was never sedated. Instead he chose to save me the expense and recovery time related to IV sedation, and instead he worked with me on breathing exercises, meditation, and overall step by step "counseling" to get me through the procedure. Even though it took twice as long for me to get through the 2 fillings, due to my anxiety and needing to stop frequently, both Dr Rice and his assistant kept reassuring me it was OK and they were working around my needs. Dr. Rice continued to explain the procedure and steps to me, but also did breathing exercises with me, and various techniques such as visualization, hand placement, body awareness, mind-body-connection, etc. to help me manage my anxiety and gag reflex throughout the procedure. I would highly recommend him. They also billed directly to my insurance even though they were out of network (I have a PPO). 5/5 stars from me. I still don't like going to the dentist, LOL, but I will try to be more compliant with visits now that I have Dr. Rice and his team to support me.
