Nov 09, 2024 · Sarah HuberWill not be back. I was looking to switch dentists, and had heard glowing reviews about Crestwood dental. I called and spoke about how I had just had an exam done in April, and that I needed to schedule a cavity filling. AT NO POINT, in this conversation, or future conversations, did the person inform me that I'd have to have (and pay out of pocket for) an evaluation first. I got to the appointment and they said "It'll be 147 dollars up front, but your insurance will reimburse you." When I inquired on what amount my insurance would refund me, they said "100 %". Obviously this turned out to be a lie. I thought I was getting a cavity filling, because I was never told any differently, and in fact in the email where I was confirming availability, I said that I needed to get the filling done first. At no point was it said to me that it was an evaluation appointment only. I wish I could say I was surprised when I got a whopping 45 dollars back from Delta. I was misled about the appointment, and was outright lied to about how much my insurance would be giving me back. If the office staff is unaware of the benefits and what would be coming back, they shouldn't be giving answers as definitive.
