Community Dental Care - St. Paul

I am rating 3 stars as the receptionists tell people to come in by a certain time for emergency dental work. Not everyone w/ dental emergencies can make it by a 7:45am check in to be seen by 8am due to traffic & living further away. Those who have increased medical where they have developmental disabilities & diabetes need to be seen promptly due to the fact that they need the right nutrition. When there is pain, rough sharp edges, chips, etc it is very difficult where someone cannot eat. Those w/ developmental disabilities end up having a lot of anxiety & panic where they are scared of going to dentists in the first place & they maybe only be able to see a certain dentist as the individual may have seen that dentist before where they are not scared of going then. The 2 dentists that I have seen are the only 2 that I can see which are Dr.Weinand & Dr.Lebens. Dental clinics in the area I live do not take my insurance. Waiting to long for appointments when there is an urgent matter can in fact worsen the quality of life.

If I could give half a star I would. I'm getting sick of every other appointment of mine getting canceled because a doctor is either calling in sick or something it's very unprofessional that I have to get a call minutes before my appointment or when I've arrived for my appointment for me to be notified that it has to get rescheduled

i’ve been going here since i was 6-7, im an adult now! all my siblings go here too, they’re very friendly and wait time is not that long. nice small area for kids to play in with toys and a tv that plays kids movies to keep them entertained, clean restrooms, and overall a great environment. the nurses and dentists are also friendly and listen to your needs very well! :)

Terrible company with horrible ethics and practice. These people are con artists who prey on the poor and vulnerable. They charge MORE than a upscale dentist office.

This is definitely one of the worst dental places. I’ve had two wisdom teeth extraction cancelled on me. Both times, an hour or two before the actual appointment. First time was because the dentist was on vacation (which they should’ve known prior) and second time (because the dentist was out sick). To be a dental place that prides themselves in valuing individuals from all economic backgrounds must mean that they serve many low income families, and they should understand how difficult it is for their patients to call off work, find care for children, etc. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional on their part. Will be taking my business elsewhere and recommending others to do the same.
