Comfort Dental North Independence

after thinking I would never smile truthfully again I was proven wrong in the best way thanks to Dr. Hampton and his team. Pulling teath is the last thing they will ever do. I highly recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for hope for better smile.

Long but informative - Dr. Hampton is without a doubt the worst dentist I have ever been to. His dental assistants were talking to him while he was injecting numbing agents into the back of my mouth. While the needle was still in my flesh I watched him turn his attention to his assistants. I felt the needle move and immediately, extreme pain. He looked back at me, said I was fine and continued on. I had a bruise and discomfort where he injected me for about a week. I wish that was the worst part. He said that he was going to fix (but not HOW he was going to fix) a small chip in my front right tooth (that was unnoticeable to almost anyone but me.) Instead he drilled a vertical ditch into my front tooth to fix the chip, but he never checked the alignment of my bite to see if it would be a successful filling. My bite is not aligned properly so the filling got bumped and knocked out the first day I had it. I went back to have him fix it and he told me that if it doesn't stay this time he'll have to crown it. (It came out again the next day) I went to another dentist afterwards who checked my bite BEFORE he did anything else and explained to me that he could try to fill it, but because of where it was and because of my bite, it would probably fail. Because of what was done, to properly fix it, I would need to crown it. I wish Dr. Hampton would've explained to me what he was planning on doing for treatment, or at least assessed my bite before permanently disfiguring my smile and confidence. I know I didn't have the best smile to begin with, but it makes me want to cry knowing that this how it looks now.

This place is the mcdonalds of dentistry. I saw a new doctor every time and they did fillings multiple times. Their shotty work resulted in the necessity of 3k root canal and multiple fillings needing to be replaced due to 'overhangs'. Andrea in patient relations is no help. Comfort dental doesn't care about the havoc they wreaked. I'm thousands out of pocket now for work they have done repeatedly since 2021 and ended up having to have all dental work rendered by comfort dental redone. Run the other way.

I could not give Dr. Hampton enough compliments. He was sincere, empathetic and you can truly see that he CARES for his patients unlike alot of places these days. I went to 3 other dentists for consultations before coming here and was treated like dirt by all 3 places for not being able to take care of my teeth over the years due to my anxiety for going to the dentist and also lack of money/insurance to go. This place however treated me like a HUMAN with decency and respect, did not make me feel guilty or treat me like garbage. I was so anxious and scared but they made me feel comfortable, stopped periodically throughout my extractions to make sure I was feeling comfortable and not in pain unlike previous places I've gone where I'm in intolerable pain and they keep going without checking on me just to get me out quicker. Thank you comfort dental!
