My trip to this dentist's office was a waste of my time. When I made my appointment , I explained, on the phone, that I needed extensive work done on my mouth (gum issues). The receptionist asked about my insurance and was extremely enthusiastic about setting my appointment. When I got to the antiquated office, the eager receptionist was replaced with a lady who seemed surprised by my blackness. (Sadly, it was the same lady who made my appointment). The receptionist was more interested in finding a reason not to see me ("Do you have insurance?" "I don't think we take your insurance.") She seemed upset when I had the mythical insurance she named. I still filled out my new patient paperwork. When I went to the back the dentist asked why I was there and how long since I've seen a dentist. He didn't ask any other questions and he was ready to dive in my mouth. When he sees my gum issues, he says he cannot treat me and gives me a referral form. Then he proceeds to give me a demonstration on my gum issues, which takes me by surprise because if the dentist couldn't do the work then why even touch me? I think Dr. Comeaux had to touch me so they could bill my insurance more. (I can't wait to see this bill). Dr. Comeaux gave me a referral paper; however, he didn't fill out the sheet and the paper's date still was from the 20th century. This was the worst dentist visit ever. I'm sure most of their patients are a certain demographic and unfortunately, that wasn't me. This dentist's office is not innovative nor welcoming. Heed my warning and please don't waste your time.

I was a patient of Dr. Comeaux's for over 35 years before moving to Texas. He was always very thorough in checking my teeth, explained all that he saw & if work was needed we discussed it. He was gentle & I never left in pain. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good dentist.
