Christiana Dental Center

Today I had an Excellent experience getting my teeth cleaned. I arrived 20 minutes early for appointment and was seen with in 5 minutes. Staff is very friendly and nice my hygienist was Extremely professional and patient cleaning my teeth my mouth was not sore or irritated. I told Dentist I want to have same person every time I come in to get my teeth cleaned.

The dental hygienist did not do a thorough job in cleaning my teeth despite my voicing concerns over missing my previous 6 month cleaning. She spent about 5 minutes for the complete cleaning. At the end of the cleaning she did not floss the dislodged tarter out from between my teeth and only had me rinse with water. When polishing, again she did not seem thorough. The whole thing seemed like a rush job and it’s not the first time. No mouth rinse at the end, drove home with the taste of blood in my mouth and a feeling of dissatisfaction. I’ve been going to Christiana Dental for about 20 years (at least) and the past few years, I’ve been increasing concerned about the quality of my cleanings, they’ve gotten quicker and quicker with the hygienist this time starting out by saying “I’ll have you out in no time”, or words to that affect. I even asked her to take her time and be thorough as I’m not in a rush. It didn’t help. I’ve not wanted to change practices because I like the dentists and the techs and have had a lot of dental work with them that I’ve been more than satisfied with. I thought I’d give the hygienist one last change but even after voicing my concern, she brushed me off and gave me a 5 minute cleaning. Takes me longer than that to brush and floss my teeth at home.

I've been a patient of this center since 2019...best dental practice ever! Everyone is genuinely friendly and focused on making you feel comfortable while under their care. Fabulous service.

I had two appointments scheduled with Christiana Dental Center. The first was underwhelming and the second I was forced to cancel. The first experience I had here was okay, with both the hygienist and dentist being approachable, though I was concerned about the sheer amount of X-rays taken at my appointment, as well as the fact that they examine your teeth and force you to make an appointment for your cleaning at a later time. I’ve never had a dentist’s office do either of those before, but I was willing to go back for the cleaning and give the office another try. At this point, I would have rated it at 3 stars. I went back for the cleaning and was told that they would not clean my teeth unless I put my infant into a closet in a different room with a stranger because a different hygienist didn’t want him in the room with me. During the prior appointment this had not been an issue, and no one had said anything about this at check in or in advance of this appointment, so I had no reason to believe that this would be an issue prior to this hygienist telling me he couldn’t be in there with me because she didn’t want him in the room. I was not going to leave my baby in the care of someone that I do not know (she may have been great, but a stranger is a stranger), so she told me I would need to reschedule. The only days that I am able to come for an appointment are the days that I am home with my baby, so I was forced to cancel my cleaning and won’t be coming back. This office may work for someone else, but if you are someone with a small child and no alternative options for care, this place is not for you.

As usual the office clean and well organized.I and my mother were on time and the staff were Great. The Doctor has a Great Up Beat manner about his service as well. I would recommend family and friends.

I love how thorough all the dental technicians (Brident) are when it comes to your pearlies. Also Dr.Scott is very knowledgeable. Christiana Dental takes care of their patients. I have only had great experiences ever since I brought my mother over 20 years ago. Now my family goes regularly.
