I had a very frustrating experience at Castle Dental and left feeling like my time was completely wasted. I came in for a simple cleaning, which I expected to be covered under my HMO plan. Instead, I left without getting a cleaning at all. It felt like the only thing accomplished was them putting their finger in my mouth. After a brief examination, they told me that my initial cleaning would cost around $280. I was shocked, as I thought my HMO plan would cover a basic cleaning. On top of that, I spent 15-20 minutes sitting in the patient chair while their computer system was having issues. The whole experience felt disorganized. After my visit, I decided to check their Google reviews and saw that other people have had similar experiences. It seems I’m not the only one who has been quoted high prices and others have also complained about disorganization and poor communication. Overall, I would not recommend Castle Dental to anyone with an HMO plan. If you decide to go, I suggest confirming your costs and insurance coverage beforehand to avoid surprises like I had. For me, this was a frustrating waste of time, and I’ll be looking for a different dental provider in the future.

Absolutely terrible experience. My appointment was at 11am, I wasn’t seen by a doctor until 12:15, they didn’t clean my teeth or anything, just did X-rays and poked around in my mouth, then after basic examination that took a whole 5 minutes, they said they would do my cleaning soon… I sat in the chair for another 30 minutes waiting for someone to explain to me what was going on. Then the receptionist came in to the room to show me my $500+ bill.. trying to sell me a fancy toothbrush, and night guard… things I don’t need because I told the doctor I already had all these items… I asked the receptionist when they were going to come back in and CLEAN my teeth which is what I originally came in for… and she said everyone went to lunch and so I could come back at 4pm to get my cleaning done! Mind you I’ve already been here since 11am and it is now 12:50pm!!! I said, no thank you, I’ll pay my copay and take my business elsewhere. On a positive note- the dentist himself was very kind and friendly. But the rest of his staff was terrible and unprofessional when it came to all aspects of running an efficient practice.

Writing this review to warn others. 0/10 would recommend this place. Got my wisdom teeth surgery back in March and ended up having an infection in my mouth. After coming back over 5 separate visits my infection was not fixed and I was sent home with multiple rounds of antibiotics that just suppressed the infection and did not heal it. I was then denied care because “it was too far after the date of the wisdom teeth removal”… forcing me to find another dentist and spend hundreds of dollars to solve an issue they caused. The people who work at the front desk are incredibly rude and unpleasant people to deal with. Thats just part of my story but you get the idea and I hope this will influence someone to not seek care here.

The doctor is kind, but the billing issues I've encountered make it not worth continuing to come here. I won't be returning. They submitted two claims to the wrong insurance, which were understandably denied. To prevent the balance from going to collections, I was advised to set up a payment plan while they refiled the claims with the correct insurance. This was in late April, but the claims weren't resubmitted until mid-to-late June—nearly three months later. My insurance has now issued payment for both claims, and on 7/23/2024, a woman at the office confirmed receiving at least one check and even provided the amount. She assured me that my Care Credit account would be credited, but it's been nearly four weeks since, and I still haven't received the credit. When I contacted Care Credit, they informed me that they had not received anything and that once funds are sent, it should take no more than 72 hours to process. I called the office on 8/9/2024 and was told the billing manager would be out until 8/28/2024, and that I could try emailing the regional district manager. However, despite emailing her twice, I have received no response or follow-up. This entire ordeal has been going on for about five months, and while I've been very patient, understanding that mistakes and miscommunication happen, I now feel at a loss for what to do next. My only option may be to dispute the charges since I'm not receiving any assistance. The staff is friendly, but when issues arise, they are not at all helpful.
