Birchwood Dental

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!!!! the female dentist did not wait long enough for the numbing medicine to kick in. She told him if he felt pain to raise his hand, he did ...he was screaming in pain her she did not stop to give him more numbing medicine. My daughter heard her brother in so much pain in the lobby along with another client. My son felt every single pull of his tooth!!! She should have stopped when he was in that much pain. I literally thought he would pass out!! She doesn't care!!!! No child of mine years old should ever encounter that extreme pain and she let it happen!!!! When I had a bad tooth she declined me saying she could break my jaw, my childhood dentist said it wasn't possible. Do not trust her!!!! She's only there to get the job done and move on. Don't take your kids to Birchwood!! You and your child will be traumatized as we are now.

Alas, very sad to give this review as I was very satisfied with Dr. Carlson. I was a patient for multiple years and had a dental insurance change that resulted in Birchwood no longer being covered. Completely on me for not re-confirming my benefits. What saddened me is that Birchwood let me incur two visits where I would need to pay out of pocket before any notification. On communication with the office manager, I got a primer on the financial authorization I signed and EOBs and such, which again I completely understand, but I chose Birchwood because of the family feel of the practice and am so saddened to realize that you are just another patient that is part of the practice's machine.

Amazing experience getting a crown recently. Dr. Carlson and team were super supportive through everything....love having my new tooth and getting back to normal. Drove 90 minutes one way to see them and it was worth it!

I am new to the area and hadn't been to the dentist for a while, so I knew I needed to find one. I hate the chain dental places so I was looking more for a private practice. Birchwood dental has exceeded my expectations. Everyone is friendly and very knowledgeable. They even called me and told me that I could come in early because they were running AHEAD of schedule. When do you ever hear that from a dental/medical office??? It was great!

I have been a patient of Birchwood for three years now and have experienced nothing but the best people and best care. Dentists are all great, hygienists are extremely skilled. Jenna has never steered me wrong!
