Customer Reviews
My daughter has an excellent experience at Beach Cities Orthodontics! Doctor Brothers, Dr. Sinclair, and their staff are so amazing—friendly, gentle, informative, and efficient! The office is very nice, clean, bright and welcoming. My daughter was initially terrified of getting braces, but everyone here made her feel at ease and were so gentle during process and she was not scared anymore and thought it was much better than she had anticipated. Every visit after that has been so easy and pleasant, too. The whole process has been so smooth, from the consultation, the financing options, to the braces procedure itself. I highly recommend Beach Cities Orthodontics; I will definitely have my younger daughter come here too if she will need braces in the future.
After researching orthodontists in the Southbay, I noticed Dr. Brothers name came up again and again. Besides stellar online reviews, many parents I personally know also highly recommended her. It’s no wonder that she & her staff are the best of the best! This is a warm, inviting office with friendly staff. When we were deciding if getting braces was the right choice for our son, they made it an easy decision: not pushy & very informative. We’re at the start of our braces journey and have been very pleased with everything so far.
Unlike mine, my son’s journey with braces here at Beach Cities orthodontists has been pretty smooth and painless. Dr. Sinclair is very knowledgeable and patient. Joanna is super kind, too. The only downside is that they only open 4 days a week and Dr. Sinclair’s availability is scarce.
I would like to share my son's orthodontic experience. My son needed orthodontic treatment because there wasn’t enough space for his permanent teeth to come in. We completed the first phase of treatment and decided to proceed with the second phase after his permanent teeth came in. Dr. Sinclair had promised a credit for the first phase if we did the second phase, so we chose Beach Cities Orthodontics. After the first phase was completed, we went in for a consultation for the second phase, and they provided us with an estimate of about $6,000. We mentioned that Dr. Sinclair had offered a credit for the first phase, but they only offered $500. We also knew they had a $750 promotion for first-time patients, but they gave us a lower amount. We found a recording of Dr. Sinclair stating that he would give us credit for the first phase, so we returned to discuss the second phase. However, they quoted us $6,000 to $6,750, which was the same as the original estimate, and offered a $500 discount. When I played the recording for them, they said they could offer a discount of up to $1,000. They also said they couldn’t give us credit for the portion covered by insurance. They didn’t even check how much we had paid originally or how much insurance had covered. Instead, they simply quoted us $1,000 and even provided a higher estimate than the first consultation. At that point, I realized I couldn’t trust them anymore, and because they were so unprofessional with the billing, I decided not to proceed with treatment there. I’ve decided to look for another orthodontist, even if it costs more, where I can trust the service. =================================== No one informed us that the ownership had changed. Even though the ownership has changed, you took over the patients from the previous owner. Don’t you have an obligation to honor the promises made to those patients by the previous owner? I don’t understand your reasoning. I am satisfied with the results of the treatment, but that treatment was done by the previous owner, not by you. I believe it is only right to honor the original promises, regardless of whether it was made by the previous owner or the current one. I want other customers to be aware of this situation. They will read this and think twice.
This is my second time having to get ortho work done. The first time I went the traditional braces route; but now that I’m older I wanted something more discrete. Invisalign has provided the best of both worlds and I’ve been very impressed with the results I’ve seen so far. The office is also very organized and friendly - shout out to Dr. Brothers and Joana! Looking forward to seeing the final results.
I can’t say enough positive things about my experience at Beach Cities Orthodontics! From start to finish, the entire process was so smooth and easy. Lanice, the office manager, went above and beyond to explain the process for insurance reimbursement, making everything so clear and stress-free. Every time I walked into the office, she greeted me warmly and even took the time to chat with me about my day—it made me feel so valued as a patient. The entire staff is incredible—friendly, attentive, and detail-oriented. Dr. Brothers is truly a master at what she does. Her expertise with aligners is unmatched, and I always felt confident I was in the best hands. If you’re looking for top-notch care, I 100% recommend Beach Cities Orthodontics. You won’t be disappointed!
I have twin boys (one with ADHD) who are starting their braces journey and I could not be happier with the results! The staff is incredibly kind, patient and most importantly, professional in every way. They are truly putting my children's needs/experience ahead of just turning a profit. Highly recommend!
I have serious concerns about the quality of care and professionalism at this orthodontic office. I recently discovered the office manager Lanice is taking X-rays and is not properly certified, which raises significant safety and ethical concerns. Additionally, I’ve noticed rodent traps around the office, which is highly unsettling and gives the impression that cleanliness and hygiene are not being prioritized. On top of these issues, it seems that the office frequently has a revolving door of staff—new employees come and go, and it’s evident that many previous staff members were let go due to poor management. This lack of stability is concerning when it comes to the care of my children. I would strongly advise others to carefully consider these factors before choosing this office for their orthodontic needs. I hope the practice takes immediate action to address these issues, as patient safety and trust should be their top priority.
