First of all, I have never paid so much for dental work before in my life. The estimates alone were absolutely shocking to me. But because the exams had already been done, and my insurance wouldn’t cover a second exam, I proceeded with getting the work done here anyway. And once the work was done, it turns out their estimates (which they told me they ran through my insurance using my specific plan) were 30% off. So they have now billed me for an additional 30% above what I paid based on the estimate. So we are talking an estimate that is higher than any dentist I’ve ever been to before in my life, and then an extra 30% on top of that. And this was on all of the work for me and my kids. So it wasn’t just a one time fluke, they’re consistently getting it wrong by about 30%. And they can never explain why either. It feels like a bait and switch to me. Second, for every single appointment I have come to they have gotten the scheduling wrong. One time, I got here only to be told that my hygienist didn’t show up that day and they sent me home. This place is not exactly next to my home, so it was a waste of an hour into my workday for nothing. They couldn’t have called me before I spent all that time driving? And every time I schedule something I ask them specifically how long it’s going to take and it has never been right. Not one single time. And we are not talking a few minutes difference. We are talking an hour or more sometimes. I am a single working parent, with three kids, and I don’t have time to waste. And I don’t appreciate the fact that they keep wasting it over and over and over again. It is so incredibly disrespectful. And I have had to miss work meetings as a result. I have one more appointment for one of my kids and then I will never come back to this place. If I could give 0 stars I would. Awful.

I visited Aspen in West St Paul yesterday (10/17/2024). From the support at the front desk, x-rays, dentist (Dr Grishina), hygienist, manager and the bookkeeper, it was such a pleasant experience. They were positive, kind, gentle, and professional. A bookkeeper is often good with numbers but not personable - their bookkeeper was very personable and clear with numbers. I plan to go again.

This place with shake you down for as much money as they can and a bunch of unneeded dental work. I chipped a tooth and couldn't get into my regular dentist. Went here thinking I could get a quick fix (it was a minor chip). Went in and they X-rayed me, and then did a 5 minute "exam" the dentist told me my teeth were basically rotting, my gums were horribly diseased, and she recommended a 4 appointment minimum of intense dental work that included scaling and other intense and over the top treatments. Their estimate was nearly $4k before insurance, "luckily" for me my insured would cover all "but" $1600. All of this and they didn't even fix the chipped tooth. Got in with my regular dentist a few days later, they fixed the chip same day and scheduled a check up cleaning shortly thereafter. Had a couple of minor cavities and a cleaning. Just $150 after insurance the chipped tooth fix was also $150 after insurance. Aspen is a high pressure sales, money factory that puts their profit over your health and should be avoided.

Dr Grishina and Kelly were above excellent! ! Areas that need improvement. No call back from S r/t ins.l. Ever Tried calling several times People skills zilch Phone system problematic Inaccurate info that insurance was inactive. I later verified. Chose another provider.

This office is so very caring and genuine. I’ve been well taken care of by all members of the staff. Dr Grishina is wonderful and so efficient. I had some emergency pain on a day when their office was closed, after chatting with a 24-7 operator, Dr. Grishina called me back personally and quickly to help get my problem sorted out.
