Aspen Dental - Portland, ME

Never written a review. But this warrants one. They were able to get me in for an emergency visit after I chipped my tooth, which was great. That’s where the good ends. After I was told I was having a consultation, they spent an hour+ grinding down my tooth. Better to get your own pliers and some Tylenol. 10 Novocain shots later and a “jeez, why is this still hurting?” from the doctor while the assistant talked about what she was having for lunch. Gave me a temporary crown that barely fits. Have to find a new dentist. Trust Yelp, trust Reddit. This place is a mess.

Medical Staff was very helpful and friendly environment. New technology that was really cool to watch and be educated on my teeth. Clean environment. Front desk staff is a little rude - and the staff as a whole seam to be in their 2.0 ish so a little unprofessional (I could hear them laughing and joking with each other / not on a bad way but just a relaxed happy attitude.) At the end of the appointment they walked me through what insurances covers/ what it doesn’t/ and helped me make a plan that worked for me and my budget.

Awesome first visit! I hate having dental work done and the staff made the experience wonderful. The work I needed was explained in detail without sales being the main objective. They were also able to setup a payment plan to cover what insurance didnt. I would recommend this dental office!

Had my teeth cleaned today by Bryce. He was very professional and a kind hearted person. He was very good at communicating what was needed and the process. He also played great music!

First of all, they called me a day before my appointment asking to switch it from 11am to 10am, which I said was okay and took time out of my work day to make that switch. Unfortunately I had to drive with my flat spare tire on because my tire got flat early this week. I then got there at 10:06am because there was a bunch of traffic on Brighton Ave and the lady at the front said because it was almost 10 minutes into my appointment that I had to reschedule. The next available appointment wasn't until June 2025!!! It's October 2024. Not to mention there was NOBODY in the lobby OR the parking lot?!?!?! What a waste of time having to leave for work, pump up my spare tire with air and hope it doesn't give out on me just to be told I need to reschedule my appointment that I booked 6 months ago.

I wore my headphones for my own music :) The receptionist was very kind and the sweet woman that went over my estimate treatment plan knowing I was in pain very compassionate and caring I was seen by Sheena Jane Mead very patient kind and gentle after my last experience with another dentist 3 1/2 years ago all the staff took away my fear of dentist ! Thank you aspen dental on Brighton ave.portland for taking me in walk-in emergency I more than appreciate it now I can move forward!
