Amazing Kidz Pediatric Dentistry

The two girls that helped my autistic daughter get her first X-Rays done were amazing and so gentle and patient with her! The doctor is awesome and gentle and soft spoken with both of my girls, and they love going to the dentist now!!

We’ve been taking our 5 kids here for years!! We love Dr. Shultz. He’s kind, patient and really teaches the kids the importance of oral health. Also love the atmosphere and hygienists. Highly recommend!

Doc told me my 4 year old needs multiple procedure and he need to put him to sleep to do that. I refused and doc kept asking if I had financial problem ? He kept calling and even sending text from his personal phone to get the procedure done. My son is 7 now and his teeth are perfectly fine without any procedures. If he tells your child they need crown and all that, think twice, get second opinion !!

Dr. Shults and his staff are very professional and they consistently demonstrate their care by providing comprehensive professional dental services to their patients. Bottom line, I trust him with the total pediatric care of my children's teeth, and have done so for over a decade. Thank you, Dr. Shults.

Don’t listen to the negative reviews. (The reviews almost kept me away). Dr. Shultz was great! He was very informative, straightforward, and conversational. His staff was fantastic. Checkin was easy (toys & iPads in the waiting room). They were so great that my 3 year old was happy doing X-rays and a full teeth cleaning!! Kids came home with a new toothbrush, flowers, toothpaste. They got a token for the toy machine and got to pick a fish to write their names on because they were cavity free. They had a blast and can’t wait to go back.

I really appreciate how much Dr. Shults cares about his patients. I see it every single time I come. I always feel like he tries to give me the best tools for success for my teeth. He is the BEST! And I love his fun ocean office theme.

Absolute worst dentist we've ever encountered. I'm shocked by the good reviews. We went to Larry Shults when we first moved to Mesa 10 years ago. He was very rough with my children. My son was less than a year old and he forcefully shoved his mouth open and began to manually brush his teeth very hard. His gums began bleeding and he made a snide comment about gum health. Here's and idea, educate your patients rather than degrade them! I made the mistake of going back for a filling he said my daughter needed. He insisted that she should have the nitrous but of course it wasn't covered. My daughter had dental work in the past and did not need it. A good dentist can put a child at ease without gas. We proceeded with the work and not only did he not wait long enough for the local anesthetic to become effective. I question whether he even numbed her gums before injecting because she yelped "ouch, ouch" with each prick of the anesthetic needle. My daughter was in a lot of discomfort and he worked her into hysterics, then looked up at me and very condescendingly said, "you know if you'd paid for the nitrous, this wouldn't be happening." If I could have taken her out of the chair in that moment I would have but her tooth was already partially drilled out and I panicked. We never went back. If you love your child don't take him or her to this sadist. And yes, I am writing this review 10 years later because he deserves to have the truth about him known.
