Dr. Chao and his staff are amazing. For many years i was terrified of going to the dentist. I read about Dr. Chao and how he caters to "chickens", ( and yes that's me, i'm a big chicken), and i decided to check it out. I am so amazed at how painless everything has been. My first visit i was so nervous i was literally shaking, but they soon made me feel very calm and relaxed. I told Dr. Chao how terrified i was, he was very understanding and gentle and assured me i would be ok and woudn't feel pain. All the staff as well was very caring and understanding. Oh and my the way, i'm afraid of needles, and was so nervous of getting the anestesia shot, well Dr. Chao himself did the shot, and i didn't even feel it, i just started feeling my lip numb and i asked him " you did the shot already? I didn't even feel it!" That's how good he is. The rest of the procedure was painless as well. I usually don't take the time to do reviews, but this is a big exception. Dr. Chao has greatly helped me overcome my fear of dentist, and at least in his hands i am not afraid anymore. I wish i would have come here sooner, i'm so happy i found Dr. Chao. So i'm spreading the news! Dr. Chao really is pain free. For any fellow "chickens" out there or anyone in general that wants comfortable and excellent quality dental work i highly recomend Dr. Chao at Alhambra Dental. Thank you.

I feel it is of the utmost importance to write this review of my experience and care I received from Dr. John C. Chow and his incredibly supportive staff. .My FEAR of the dentist caused me and my overall health to suffer greatly for years. I could not take the pain anymore! And, knew I needed to over come my fear and face my fears. I had such terrible pain and infection. And was so ashamed to smile. My condition was really holding me back in all areas of my life! Dr. Chow was so patient and understanding with me. He treated me one step at a time addressing my serious condition and fears. I can honestly say that the treatment I received from Dr. Chao and his very friendly and supportive staff changed my life! It may be hard to believe my next statement, But, Dr. Chao is a PAIN FREE dentist! I no longer fear going to the dentist! And, quite honestly, look forward to my visitations and the treatment I receive. My condition improves after every visitation and treatment. When you meet Dr. Chao, you will quickly sense and realize how dedicated this man is to his profession and his patients. He is a genuine caring person and has the state of the art equipment. I honestly believe he saved my life! The disease of my mouth was very advanced and as I said, I suffered for years! Now, I have zero pain! And my health has improved as well as the overall quality of my life! I am so grateful to him and his staff. Google his name and get a glimpse of what a great man he is in his practice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chao's for ten years. He greatly improved the health of my gums and teeth. He also sees both of my children, who have never had a cavity and have a wonderful time visiting the office especially Sarah and Joy. Dr. Chao's knowledge of dentistry is amazing and we benefit greatly from his skill. Five stars!

Dr. Chao and his staff have always made me feel like I am the most important patient there. I used to be deathly afraid of the dentist. I still am afraid, but I know that Dr. Chao will do everything to keep it as painless as possible. I only wish I had him as a dentist when I was growing up, then maybe I wouldn't have had as bad a traumatic experience as I did growing up. My experience has been wonderful at Alhambra Dental!!! The office is very cozy, friendly, and they even provide free drinks! I like how the office is very up to date with technology and staff is very amazing and friendly. Dr. Chao is also very nice and knows what he is doing! Dr. Chao is arrogant and is way too expensive. if you don't have the money to spend, staff far away from this place. To fix a loose tooth you may get out of there with a cost of $1200.00. But don't do it there are plenty of other periodontist that do and should only do this type of service. The staff compensate his conceit.
