Academy Kids Dental, Vision and Orthodontics

My kids love coming here, everyone is so nice and patient especially with me and my three kiddo! Shout out to all those beautiful ladies that work hard everyday! Y'all are the reason we go to academy kids! Keep up the amazing work I truly appreciate it ??

Words can’t describe how wonderful our experience was with the dental staff. They worked my son in on extremely short notice but also took the extra mile to call and verify we had dental coverage but it didn’t stop there. They saw my son nervous and scared but comforted him and helped him build the courage to not be scared. Then the front desk representative ended up going above and beyond to make sure we had dental benefits and then that I understood my benefits for my sons treatment plan. She walked me through every step and answered all of my questions with patience and empathy. Those are characteristics that are so personal and hard to find in the professional field these days, so I asked her I said is there a way I can speak to the supervisor to express my gratitude and appreciation for you and everyone here. She ended up telling me she was the supervisor and I was just in shock because talk about a supervise who leads by example. She went the extra mile for my son and my self without me even knowing she was the supervisor and it just amazed me because it wasn’t just her it was the entire staff. Such a great experience, and it was enough to want to drive the extra hour to go back again!

Brought both my middle schoolers here for an eye exam. Walked in and got paperwork done, was called back pretty fast. They did both kids in the same room so it was pretty easy. The staff was friendly! Doctor was friendly and knowledgeable. Explained what the correction glasses are gonna do! I would definitely recommend coming back to vision. Place was clean and decorated for Halloween. Staff seemed to enjoy working there. Now… I would NOT recommend for DENTAL. I had a lot of issues with the students who work there and was just very unhappy with how staff treated my children. Due to lack of experience in doing dental work my child suffered. Then the management tried to fix it with starbucks gift cards. Thanks but no thanks.. We have never received such awful care anywhere like they gave here. It was years ago but I will never return my kids there for dental. It was traumatizing.

UPDATE: They're refusing to give me a finally bill after Supervisor Ally from billing promised I would receive one via mail. This company over medicated my child to place a spacer and the spacer fell out within 24 hrs. The child was unable to walk for 4 hrs after the 20 minute appt. At her next visit they were going to place the spacer straight from my purse into her mouth, thankfully her tooth hadn't grown enough and they couldn't. I have asked for the spacer back due to their care of my child. The billing department has been a nightmare. I have a bill that says I owed 6 dollars after everything, which I paid. Upon calling for a refund they informed me I owed 600 more dollars for the treatments and have never paid for the spacer. They are refusing to give me the spacer and keeping the money for the spacer.

Everyone is always very nice. My kids love going. The last two times we have gone my son has been seen by Jazz. Jazz is always so nice and makes it so much more fun. I want to say thank you so much Jazz for making is easier for my kids to want to go and be there.

The staff seems very knowledgeable. They can answer any questions that you may have so that you are aware of exactly what needs to be done in a way that you can understand thoroughly. They are all very nice, polite, and professional. It's nice not having to go to the dentist, the orthodontist, and the optometrist which are all in different places and scheduled for different days. That gets very overwhelming, especially when you have more than one kid. Instead I can just go to this one place to have everything done at once, in a single appointment. Academy Kids Dental are very accommodating and they really do their very best to make sure that you are getting exactly what you want and need. Our family loves it there!!

The two stars are for the dental side. Had no issues with them and my daughter’s appt went well. However, the vision side is horrible. First of all, the schedulers are incompetent because they incorrectly scheduled my daughter FOUR times. Each time I would get a phone call saying there’s no provider’s here today that take Tricare. One time I got called the morning of her appointment letting me know I need to reschedule. The last straw was yesterday when I had an appt for 2:30 that finally wasn’t cancelled, pulled my daughter out of school early, drove 20 min to this location, walk up to the check in desk where the receptionist didn’t even acknowledge me for a good 30 seconds, looks up my appointment and tells me we “tried” to call you to cancel because the provider here today doesn’t take her insurance. 🤬🤬🤬 I had my phone on me all day, nobody from that office called me. I was livid. I told them nevermind and walked out. Apparently there’s only 1 or 2 or maybe they lied to me and there’s no vision providers there that take private insurance. So if you have private insurance or Tricare go somewhere else, these ppl have absolutely no idea what they’re doing and will waste your time.
