We decided to leave the existing dentist due to transfer of ownership of their establishment. Abella kindly accepted us as new patients. The gentleman who talked to me over the phone is very patient and professional. He's kind enough to set up a sooner appointment with my husband who had a urgent dental issue, even without waiting for the x-ray image to be sent from the previous dentist which has kept us waiting for more than a month for that. The clinic is very clean, with a lot of patients coming in on appointments after I shot the video, staff and dentist super friendly. So glad that I found such a magnificent dentist for my family finally!
If I could give them no stars I would in a heartbeat. They for one messed up my teeth gave me fillings when I needed root canals and now the decay is way worse and ima need to get some pulled. They misdiagnosed me and didn’t give me the proper treatment. The actual dentist is the only good person there because she actually cares about people but the owner sucks. All he cares about is money. The dentist was tryna help me because I am low income and knew I couldn’t afford some of the treatments and made a plan for me to get around the payments for now and all he did was make me feel bad, degrade me, and try and make me pay anyways and basically telling me I’m dumb for not paying and doing the procedure even though I was gonna get it done just not right then and there because again I don’t have the money for it which i explained multiple times. In all the owner sucks he should be fired because other than him there practice is good well only the dentist she is literally the only person there with a heart and understanding and I wish I didn’t feel the need to make this review but I don’t want the same thing to happen to others. Don’t just look at the good reviews pay attention to the bad ones because that’s what I should have done and maybe my teeth wouldn’t be in this shape now.
I've been a patient of Abbella Dental for a couple of years now and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. Dr. Liang is incredibly knowledgeable and really goes above and beyond to make sure my teeth are healthy, while also spending the time to educate me on best practices (like how to floss correctly)! Most recently, I thought I had a cavity and Dr. Liang showed me that I didn't on the x-rays we took, asked me questions to figure out what might be causing it, and told me to reach back out if I'm still experiencing sensitivity. Their pricing has always been straightforward, you get a summary of charges with your portion and your insurance's portion, and with my insurance I've had a very reasonable co-pay for both cleanings and cavity fillings. Regarding their cancellation policy, they're extremely transparent about it and what to expect. When you make an appointment they go over the policy, and then two weeks prior you get an appointment reminder call with the policy reiterated. Two days before your appointment, which is the cancellation deadline, you get another call, which I always appreciated. The cancellation policy is great because if someone cancels, they'll call you and you might be able to be seen earlier than your original appointment. Overall, I'm so incredibly pleased with the dental care I've received and my teeth are doing great. I've referred friends to Abbella Dental and I would highly recommend!
Again, go ANYWHERE but here!! — Follow up to your response, calling me a liar. YOU are the liar. I never cursed at anybody, nor would I in the office. I was noticeably upset but remained very calm in the office and cooperated with everything you demanded of me. And, yes, you did charge me because I paid in cash before the doctor would even see me. Would you like to see the receipt?? And, no, I didn’t wait a week, I emailed you the documents you requested within an hour of leaving your office. And then proceeded to send multiple emails asking for a confirmation and YOU didn’t respond for over a week. Either you’re completely deranged or just a flat out liar. People reading this review will know better than to believe your ‘distorted’ statement of the facts to try to hide the truth of how awful this practice actually is…again, go ANYWHERE but here!! This was the absolute worst experience with a medical office I’ve ever had or could even imagine. They have no concern for your needs, all they care about is the money (which is more expensive than others) and what’s convenient for them. All I wanted was to get a simple cleaning before losing my insurance in a few months. Not only would they not schedule a cleaning appointment until I made a separate new patient appointment first, but they made no attempt to accommodate my insurance issue. Reluctantly, I made the mistake of scheduling the first appointment, which significantly cut into the timeframe I had left to get the cleaning covered by insurance, but I assumed they would do their best to get me in for the 2nd appointment before my insurance expired. I really liked the doctor but I have no idea if she’s aware of the office staff’s awful customer service or if she actually supports it but after my appointment I tried to schedule the cleaning and was told I CAN’T until I provide copies of previous X-ray’s taken, former doctor’s contact info and a few other details that I didn’t have on me. However, I promised they would have everything within the hour as soon as I got home, but the idiot at the front desk would not save the date for me, which at this point was only days before losing my insurance. So I rushed home, emailed everything they wanted and expected the date was secured. After several phone messages and follow up emails to confirm, I couldn’t get a response for over a week only to find out the appointment was not saved. The guy at the front desk was a complete a-hole and couldn’t have cared less about screwing me out of one last covered cleaning before I lost insurance. This guy is a horrendous representation of your business and if you don’t support his non-customer focused behavior he should be fired. I should have gone ANYWHERE but here!!
I have been calling the office all morning to no avail so since this office makes sure to reply to every single review, perhaps a poor one will warrant a response. I called the office on a Friday to schedule an emergency appointment and expressed to the man on the phone that I was experiencing unbearable pain (due to the rest of the reviews I am assuming it was Rick). The first thing out of the man’s mouth was “it looks like you missed an appointment and your account must be reviewed before we can schedule.” I then realized the missed appointment he was referring to was scheduled during the holidays of 2022. However, I specifically remember cancelling the appointment within the appropriate timeframe and the receptionist stated that she would email me a cancellation excusal form (she never did but I was not about to chase them over it). Anyway, Rick refused to schedule an emergency appointment due to a missed appointment from over a year ago. Therefore, I was forced to endure the pain throughout the weekend as most offices are closed. I then called first thing Monday morning in an attempt to schedule an appointment because I was still experiencing pain. No response. No call back. Nothing. Instead, in an attempt to be passive aggressive and petty, I received an emailed invoice from the office, charging me $50 for the appointment I missed in 2022. I was able to get a same day appointment elsewhere and it turns out the tooth that Abella last treated is now infected and I need a root canal. This office is highly unprofessional, unethical, and quite frankly, inhumane, milking their patients for every possible penny. Stay away.
